Ron Johnson has had a lifetime of ongoing contact events, and it’s been a struggle to make sense of what he’s endured. His journey of understanding has been long and difficult. He has spent most of his life in rural Utah, and this lonely landscape is the backdrop for most of his unusual experiences.

Beyond his personal memories of contact, he is also a paranormal investigator and Bigfoot researcher. In this episode Ron shares some remarkable experiences with animals, as well as his dreams. Ron also tells a series of unsettling contact experiences—and a lot more.

This is Part 3 in a series of interviews. It will take more than one hour to cover the full expanse of Ron’s experiences His previous episodes are posted on The Unseen page, and Part 4 will be next week.

  1. I’ve really enjoyed this multi-part discussion. Ron is obviously a sincere, compassionate man & has much valuable wisdom to impart. More shows of this nature would be welcome.
Thank you for the work that you do, Mike.

Thank you Sally. I was a bit worried about such a long series like this, but I had heard enough of Ron’s experiences over the years to know that there was no other way. I have been fascinated to hear some of his accounts again, and also every new experience he shares.

I am working on episode four right now.

  3. Another great interview! Especially all the animal experiences in waking and dreaming.

Wow, this feels so good to hear so many people saying they are enjoying this series of interviews. I wasn’t sure how it would go.

I have a 4th one all done, and I am thinking I will do one more, a 5th episode. But I am not sure how if that will leave some accounts untold.

All the feedback lets me know that the goal would be to tell the story completely, without worrying about going too long.

Huge thanks to all the listeners for the good vibes!

  5. Regarding the episode where he was shown a giant salamander, do you think that instead of them wanting him to see the creature that the salamander just wanted to see him. He seems to be a celebrity to the visitors.

  6. I have a distinct feeling that I have heard of a salamander being shown or introduced to an experiencer before Ron describes it in episode 3. Some other person has described having been shown a giant salamander in another alien encounter. Does anyone else feel that they have heard of this very odd encounter having occuerred before?

  7. Rioss393, You may be thinking of Betty Andreasson’s experience. I remember that she saw a giant Phoenix bird being consumed in flames and out of the ashes a worm-like salamander appeared. Salamander’s are referred to as firedogs in the tradition.

  8. Ron’s stories are the best gold that ever came out of Utah. Thanks to you both!

  9. What a great program once more. Ron is such a gentle, wise and calm man whose stories are portals into realms some of us are familiar with, to varying degrees. I share that sense of wonderful reverence and respect he has for the natural world, the late July sun falling against the red Utah rock, the deer, Bigfoot and everything in between. Thank you for sharing these stories. I hope we’ll always have a place called home, like on this site where we can simply listen to our fellow travelers.

  10. Hi Mike, I was wondering what kind of pendant you have and where you got it? I would love to own one of my own. This conversation with Ron has gripped me to these stories and I’m glad you’re keeping the story going. Whitley actually recommended me to you about the owl phenomenon. I have yet to read your book but I have yet to have had several strange encounters. This first when was I was 3 years old. I’m very curious to find answers since I have been trying to find the answers for 17 years!

  11. Absolutely love this series. You’ve done an amazing job facilitating this discussion. Keep it going.

  12. Sorry everyone but this guy sounds delusional to me. He seems to be making stories up as he goes along. Like really bigfoot families talking to him in caves? The phenomena is certainly interesting but when you get out and out ridiculousness like some of his wild tales you have to take a step back and reassess.

I’m not here to fight with anyone just stating the feeling I get. I have listened to all 3 episodes and it certainly has been entertaining. However it feels like a nice bit of fiction is being laid down here.

    1. I am also in shock that Mike and some commentators project so many virtuous traits on this guy. Some of what he says is rather silly.

I have known Ron for over a decade, and his stories haven’t wavered. He has been terribly private for years, and presently he wants to get these stories out. I trust him.

    1. That’s fair Mike. I certainly don’t know him. Just weird issues I have like why would he not ask the people in the restaurant what they saw with the menus? Like if it seriously happened c’mon of course he would ask them. I dunno. There are a lot more things that I question as well in the 3 episodes. One way or the other I am enjoying the series. Keep up the great work. 👍

    1. I have questions too, especially about Bigfeet supposedly being devout Christians who say prayers to Jesus. What the hell? Mike just let it go past like this was nothing unusual. I wonder if there are Bigfeet into Hari Krishna or who are Orthodox Jews!

I have listened to that segment a few times. I think he was describing a visionary experience of some sort. He was turned into a pillar of light, ended up in the cave with the bigfoot family, and then returned to his home by turning into a pillar of light.

This, to me, sounds like a staged theatrical event.

I caution anyone not to take the details TOO literally, there seems to be something much stranger at play. Ron had a religious upbringing, and the staged event could have purposely included details to better connect (or influence) Ron.

This is only speculation, I simply don’t know.

  16. About 20 years ago, I used to spend a lot of free time up in the foothills of Northern California south of Livermore. There was a huge beautiful reservoir called Del Valle up in the hills. I loved this oasis of the huge lake surrounded by oak forests and hiking trails. I would go there to just find peace and read. But what I remember is that I would see the same family of deer in a gully just about every time I went there. I was an experiencer. I knew inside that these deer were very strange because they shouldn’t be there every time I was there. I assumed that contact was being made there in this remote area surrounded by a huge metropolitan area.

    1. Oh ya.your the guy that used to wear a pink thong at falls at Dell Valle and try to pickup other men who were Trump donors.whats wrong with you man?
