The past six months have been the most astonishing period of change in the whole history of the UFO phenomenon. Not since the early fifties have there been so many and such extensive sightings, and never with such a level of official support for the reality of the phenomenon.

To just touch on a few highlights, there have been extensive sightings in many parts of the world, with large numbers of reports out of the UK and, especially, Iran. The United States has had the extraordinary O’Hare Airport sighting, among others.

But it is not just the sightings that are changing things, it is the disintegration of the UFO coverup.

My new novel, 2012: the War for Souls, has just been bought by Warner Bros. for a movie, so I thought I?d write a little about why I wrote it and what I think about 2012. First, it?s a story about the journey of the soul, and the deep denial we are in about our souls. Most of us say we believe that we have a soul, but we live as if we don?t really believe that at all.

A few days ago, the US 9th Circuit rejected the appeal of a woman who depends on medical marijuana. She sought a court order to prevent federal officers from arresting her for the use of this substance, even though its use for medical purposes is legal in California where she resides, and her doctor has testified that the life of this 41 year old mother of two depends on it. In other words, the 9th Circuit held the law up against the life of an American citizen and decided that the law wins.

Whether or not Jesus rose from the dead is arguably the most important question in the history of western civilization. It is also irrelevant and based on a misunderstanding of the process of resurrection, and should not be important at all. He both died and remained dead, and was resurrected. After the resurrection, his body remained in the tomb and was undoubtedly taken away to be buried somewhere.

Perhaps the burial place has been found and perhaps not. Certainly, an interesting tomb has been found, as was shown in the recent TV film, the Lost Tomb of Jesus.
