Unexplained Light Ball on California Beach
Noctilucent Clouds? Flashlights? UFOs?
These glowing objects were allegedly filmed with a cellphone outside of a home in the town of Earl Shilton in England in the early hours of the morning one day last February. This is not a Chinese lantern, a drone or a balloon. It is not possible to determine altitude, but they could be ultra-high noctilucent clouds. The image would also be easy to create in a number of different ways. But if the witness is to be taken at her word, these would appear to be plasmas of some sort, and thus an unknown.

Interesting Catch on Oklahoma TV Broadcast
The final verdict on this video from an amateur astronomer is that this is a meteor. Earlier in the video, a professional offers a more accurate opinion: it’s an unknown. It’s height is unusual for a meteor with such a flat trajectory. The reason is that it has had to move through a substantial amount of atmosphere and is still intact. Meteors seen at low altitude far more often have much more vertical trajectories and thus have remained intact because they’ve moved through a smaller volume of air. Also, this simply disappears when it approaches the ground. There is no impact point, and yet the light return doesn’t diminish. It’s an interesting video and a possible unknown.

It’s Worth Remembering that Real UFO Photos Exist
There was a time before CGI, internet trolls and hoaxers and people earning a few bucks from click throughs that there were real UFO photos around. This is one of them. It was taken in 1957 over Edwards AFB and has never been explained. Astronaut Gordon Cooper witnessed a UFO landing at Edwards, and spoke of it often. His encounter also took place in 1957.
