A message from Whitley Strieber: “I would like to welcome Jeremy Vaeni and his new show, the Experience. The purpose of the program is to explore the close encounter experience and everything connected with it, from the lore surrounding it to the science supporting and contradicting it, to, most importantly, how it impacts the lives of those who have it. Like me, Jeremy is not dedicated to any particular theory about what causes it. Instead, he will offer us an open-minded, curious and warm-hearted look at it. He will not be advocating any particular belief about what it is.”

In this, the premiere episode, host Jeremy Vaeni talks to fellow experiencer of high strangeness Joe Gooch about the feeling of being singled out. Some experiencers feel blessed while others feel as if they’ve been cursed. Joe is in a unique position to tackle the question of “Why me?”, for at the age of 19, he was told by a spiritualist medium that he would one day be such a powerful medium himself that she would be going to him for readings… and it hasn’t happened yet!

But that’s not all of Joe’s story, not even close. He grew up in a haunted house in a notoriously haunted town in the U.K. and has recently returned. How have the phenomena of the house been reacting to his coming home?

Are you interested in being on the Experience? Experiencers and researchers are welcome. If you are an experiencer, you will appear under a pseudonym unless you are already extensively public. To reach Jeremy, write Jeremy@unknowncountry.com.

William Henry’s Revelations is available in full in the archive, and will remain available permanently.

Great show idea! Really looking forward to hearing how this evolves.

As a teenager, I was told by a psychic that I would be a powerful healer. Now, at the age of 61, I’m just beginning to see this coming into being. Things happen when they happen and certainly not by the timeline my mind wants it to happen. I had to learn all the stuff that I’ve learned in all of these years for this to happen.

Thank you Leslie, hard not to be impatient at times isn’t it!
I’ll get there when it’s meant to happen I’m sure 🙂

Read our ‘Out There’ on the Bushman ‘Confession.’ It ain’t all it’s cracked up to be, it would seem. A reporter who visited him in 2012 was, to say the least, unimpressed, and with very good reason. http://www.unknowncountry.com/out-there/boyd-bushman

So glad to hear your voice again, Jeremy…and thanks Whitley for having Jeremy…I would love to hear the both of you talk together. Jeremy is great at probing for answers and Whitely needs the right questions to be able share his thoughts. ?????

The Experience is a superb addition to Unknown Country and I’d like to thank everyone for working to get this started. Great stuff Jeremy; I’m looking forward to you becoming a regular part of my Saturday morning experience.

    Peace.

  9. I have not heard Jeremy
I have not heard Jeremy before. Wonderful show. I especially enjoy your humor and laid-back style.

Thank you, Whitley for this addition to UK. You are gifted in bringing us new people to guide us as we learn and explore life in all it’s wonder.

  10. Regarding Boyd Bushman, I
Regarding Boyd Bushman, I thought that he had suddenly appeared on the scene with his confession in 2014. I had no idea he had been interviewed in 2012. I thought the Examiner would be more reputable.

As for the video, he was evidently quite old, and infirmed. He may have been senile to a degree. I don’t know if that alone rebuts his story. His pictures certainly were interesting, and they look old.

If the story is false, how or why would he concoct such a thread? He must have had some help, in my opinion.

Loved the show, Jeremy and Joe. I’m on my third listen now. 🙂 Jeremy, you are a great interviewer, you have a gift for keeping to what’s real and bringing that out in your guests in an easy and comfortable manner. Joe, you have a wealth of experiences, I was fascinated to hear about your experiences, and I hope you can return for another round some day. I will definitely be listening each week (and emailing soon with some of my own experiences). This is a wonderful addition to Unknown Country. Thank you!

Thank you Shawn, glad you’ve enjoyed it three times over!
There are plenty more experiences I have had (and have) and as I said in the interview the main thing is for others to know they are not alone in these kinds of experiences. I’m in no way unique or ‘special’ and these type of experiences are more common-place than many would have us believe.
I wish Jeremy the best in the following episodes of The Experience and am very much looking forward to hearing of others experiences.
I hope this show gets the support it deserves because it’s a rare thing to have an Experiencer interviewing Experiencers about their Experiences!
      Cheers,
      Joe

Thanks, everyone, for the love and support. Some of you have even emailed to say “welcome to the family.” Much appreciated. Don’t be afraid to let me know if there’s a direction you’d like the questioning to go or an episode you’d like to have address a specific issue. I see this as all of our show. Let’s work on it together and see what we can learn.
