The earth’s magnetic field normally reverses about every 500,000 years. The last reversal was 800,000 years ago, and now the north magnetic pole is moving at the rate of 40 miles per year. Does this mean that the magnetic field is reversing now? The British Geologic Survey says, "The South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA) is known to be growing in extent and spreading westwards from South Africa, as the Earth’s internal magnetic field rapidly weakens in this region. This may be early evidence of a forthcoming reversal in the direction of the Earth’s internal magnetic field."

How soon this might happen, or what, exactly will take place, are both unknowns. Previous magnetic reversals have not led to mass extinctions, but if there is a period of time during which earth’s magnetic field is in chaos, solar radiation will reach the surface, which will have an effect on power grids and electronic equipment, possibly causing extensive failures.

There may be a pole shift underway, but there will NEVER be a shift in what we advocate here on unknowncountry.com: REAL news about climate change, UFOs and your health–and so much more.
