This ranks as an all-time great Dreamland–in fact, one of the most amazing that has ever been broadcast. It is part of Dreamland and Unknowncountry’s years-long effort to recognize and facilitate the powerful feminine energy that is unfolding as Earth moves into the House of Aquarius. Andrew Collins, in his 18th episode of Dreamland, brings us the story of the first female pharaoh, Sobekneferu, a tale that stretches straight into modern times and reveals the truth of a great and misunderstood sacred being whose story was distorted into scary tales of a mummy that comes back to life, originally in Bram Stoker’s novel, “The Jewel of the Seven Stars” and the many “mummy” films that have followed.

Concealed behind the horror fiction is the the sublime true story of a courageous and brilliant ruler, Sobekneferu, who died a conscious death and is with us to this day. Over the centuries, a few adepts have been able to leave life behind in such a way that they become sacred avatars of higher consciousness. Because Whitley was married to such an adept, he understands exactly what Sobekneferu did and how and why. When his knowledge of this process combines with Andrew’s mastery of the deep past, and in particular the story of Sobekneferu, real magic happens. The interview becomes a master class in how to aim toward higher consciousness of a type that has been and is the final secret of true adepts, but has been buried under layer upon layer of fear and confusion during the Piscean age.

  1. Really buzzing…Cheez…a LOT here…

A great companion piece to ‘The Cygnus Mystery’ is Collin’s book with Greg Little, ‘Path of Souls: The Native American Death Journey’. Both books are important.

A conscious death…I remember another life when this happened to me many hundreds of years ago as an ancient indigenous American who was a teacher of her people..and she is always with me. She is my primary guide.

Sobekneferu…I knew of her, but never heard much about her, until now, so I will definitely get the book. I did have an unusual dream about 25 years ago. I dreamed that I was the mother of some almost super-hero-like beings called The Sons of Horus. The dream was very vivid, very real. In researching where my brain may have come up with The Sons of Horus as some kind of super hero beings, I discovered that there were/are beings called The Sons of Horus, and they protected the dead in the afterlife. Their images are the ones seen on canopic jars that were interred with the body, and housed the internal organs of the deceased and they also represented the four directions.

…And just a few days ago I wrote on social media about how gods and monsters encountered in the Egyptian afterlife, were not unlike those discussed in ‘The Tibetan Book of the Dead’. 🙂

Andrew Collins is always a great and knowlegable guest on ‘Dreamland’, and I wish the the discussion was longer! I hope that he also researches the legends of another Egyptian, Scota.

One more thing: In August, Graham Phillips mentioned seeing the ghost of an ancient Egyptian female in his discussion with Whitley.

    1. Good Lord what a resonant post.

Cosmic is a personal friend and never ceases to pleasantly surprise me with both meaningful insight and ‘cosmically’ timed segway encouraging more clarity and balance.

Last week the last of my Uncles passed. I say ‘passed UP’ and I reckon that’s about right. What a beloved human being. I never heard him speak ill of anyone, ever. He was a peaceful, mindful human being and was truly loved by all who knew him.

This week’s show was dynamite. Cosmic dynamite. When we give up our bodies, we seem to offer the best of ourselves to The One and that which is not needed to contribute to divine immune system just falls away. Personal identity passes and while that sometimes feels fearful we reflect on the sense of day to day business of moving between bodies and we continue.

We just rise up if we aren’t embroiled in density. I’m such a loud irritating person, love chugging wine on Saturdays and being so nerdy. I’ll spend time telling you all about how much time I spent on something (this weekend it is experimenting with Ubuntu Cinnamon (I LOVE IT!! OMG WOW!!)..Look, I’m doing it now..O,O) yet I know I will one day have an unvisited grave or pot of ashes and that’s ok.

As our personages fall away, we step on/in to more work and continue to grow. When I was younger I used to think I was reaching up to ‘gain something’ that eased life’s pain or upset. It’s really not quite that though, rather I feel that we simply and pleasantly maintain ourselves and our hive by mindfullness.

Listening to David Paulides YouTube channel is an important part of my conscious experience (just as Dreamland and UC is). There are tears, ideas, smiles, there’s a sense of wonder, at times some mild fear (though that passes on reflection) and I sense this shared journey of life as a process that raises.

We all sleep, yet in our sleep I say “Lazarus, come out!” and we stand up, bathed in the clear light of day, resplendent in our cloak of mindfulness as birds chirp around us in this beautiful garden of conscious ascension.

      Peace.

  2. Interesting that the sacred day of Sobekneferu is July 23. The feast day of Mary Magdalene is July 22.

    1. Ans in some calenders the day starts at sunset and goes to the next sunset so there’s a small overlap from the sunset of the 22nd till midnight…

  3. Andrew Collins is my absolute favorite author on ancient mysteries. I truly believe he is “tapped in.”

  4. Andrew Collins, sooo happy to see you in this WONDERFUL interview and for introducing us to Sobekneferu. You are among my VERY favorite researchers and am already looking forward to interview #19. I am curious to know what that airplane fastened to your pocket is all about??? ALSO, I printed out a photo of Pharaoh Sobekneferu and will decide about inviting her in??? I need to think about this.

  5. I have read Mr. Collins’ book and gave it a good rating on Amazon. As he says in your show, he is the first to write a comprehensive biography of the queen, and it includes a rare photo of an object that definitively identifies the monarch that has since been lost in WWII.

Like many historically related books, a degree of speculation is in play. I am not entirely sure how the author arrived at the conclusion of Sobekneferu’s death by suicide. The rest of the narrative and its highlighting of so much Middle Kingdom history (an area of pharaonic history that I am still yet to fully explore) made the book a great read, even despite the subtitle of the book (it is likely that an earlier queen in pharaonic history assumed the role of kingship, Queen Mer Neith).

I found the interview here to be excellent, but I must call bs with the author’s statement that the queen was a monotheist. Those with little understanding of polytheism regularly make claims like this, and Mr. Collins has embarrassed himself by making this statement.

We will not understand the ancients if we continually look at them exclusively through our own contemporary lenses. The 42 declarations that Whitley referenced are a good example of how wrong we got things with our Victorian interpretations of the hieroglyphs. Let’s not forget that the initial impetus of early archaeology was to “prove” the bible. In many ways, we have not moved past this yet.

To this end, I recommend a new interpretation of the 42 Purifications by Dr. Tamara Suida, which IMO is the most accurate interpretation of the texts I have yet come across and is without the monotheistic overlay. https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/42-purifications-tamara-l-siuda/1143182586

The palimpsests in the temple at Abydos have rendered curious images of modern vehicles but this is coincidental. An understanding of hieroglyphs and how they function – and they are magickal, don’t get me wrong – nevertheless leaves no room for the notion that someone was trying to communicate a helicopter or Luke Skywalker’s landspeeder . (If I paint new words over a sign of old words and this peels off in time to reveal a curious pattern or picture, then that is what I am seeing – not a “coded” message of some sort, as creative and wild as my own imagination is).

Finally, I do believe the secret group which you are alluding to is the Ammonites. First brought to our attention in a Jonathon Cott book about the life of Omm Sety, I can report that I know of 2 individuals (separate from each other) that have had contact with them. They are a secret-by-necessity organisation that purports to continue the pharaonic “religion” in Egypt itself. My understanding is that communication broke off as the internet took hold in the early 2000s.

Of these individuals, one I know very well and he apparently has letters in his possession from the hierarchy of the group at the time. The other individual I know less well. Curiously, both broke off from the communications because of demands involving marriage to uphold the lineage.

    1. Author

Thank you for this marvelously informative post, Setken. I was glad to see the reference to Dr. Suida’s translation. During the interview, I was struggling to recall the name. It is certainly true that previous attempts at translation fall short.
In general, I think that Andrew has inspired a very rich conversation, and I thank all of you for your contributions. I’m very grateful that Unknowncountry attracts such people as you.

    2. Agreed 100% Setken! So much is about interpretation, and who is doing the interpreting…and when. The 42 Laws of Ma’at that are online I’ve always taken with a grain of salt, so thanks for the book recommendation! I also have read about Omm Sety, aka Englishwoman, Dorothy Eady, and I revisited it a few weeks ago. She was amazing, lived a relatively simple life, and her adventures (memories) as ‘Omm Sety’ actually were of great value to Egyptologists, as was her knowledge of indigenous Egyptian culture.

Abd’el Hakim Awyan is (was) another great resource as an indigenous wisdom keeper in Egypt. I placed a video on my own website years ago of a talk that he gave. Thankfully, it’s still available:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gr2xO4s-8Lg

      1. Thanks for the video and I will check it out.

Omm Sety may have given the biggest heads-up to archaeology / Egyptology ever if her comments about the location of Nefertiti’s tomb turn out to be correct.

  6. Interesting synchronicity don’t know if it means anything but Jimmy Church, Fade to Black’s host and Whitley’s friend/acquaintance, is in Egypt RIGHT NOW and on top of that my oldest kid is studying Egypt in his school right now!

  7. Ok…it’s really getting interesting.

5,000 year-old wine has been discovered at the tomb of Meret-Neith, who was briefly discussed in this Dreamland with Collins. This is major. She may have been the first pharaoh in Ancient Egypt, held considerable power, and was the only woman to have her own monumental tomb in Egypt’s first royal cemetery at Abydos.

    Wow, what timing!

  8. Today’s news, and ties to ancient Egypt…and creation.

OSIRIS-REx got A ‘treasure chest of extraterrestrial material’ from asteroid Bennu. Bennu is an ancient Egyptian deity linked with the Sun, creation, and rebirth. And Osiris was the Egyptian god tied in with the afterlife, the dead, resurrection.

Unprecedented asteroid sample contains ‘crucial elements,’ NASA says in historic reveal
    How cool is that?
    https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/11/world/osiris-rex-bennu-asteroid-sample-reveal-scn/index.html

  9. Just one little thing here… So, Robert Anton Wilson fans will know July 23 is an interesting day.

I personally also have synchronicity around July 21 and 23. This is hard to explain – it is complicated. It intersects with room 237 in The Shining … which is room 217 in the book of The Shining. I feel July 21 and July 23 “go together” and fear future global catastrophe connected with these days (specifically the burning of NYC – possibly after Iranian nuclear attack).

So, very interesting to see July 23 appear here and ALSO interesting that Whitley “stumbles” between July 21 and 23!
