Right here on earth? – A scientist says there’s no need to search in space for alien life, that it’s right here on earth. Instead of a mission to Mars, he wants to launch a "mission to earth" to look for it.

Researcher Paul Davies thinks that strange, hitherto unknown forms of life may be lurking in toxic lakes or in vents under the ocean that heat nearby water to the boiling point.

BBC News quotes ambulance tech Isobel Sternfeld as saying, “When you’re talking about things like CPR, you can’t make things worse?If someone’s not breathing, they’re not breathing. If you don’t do anything, they’re still not breathing, but if you do something you will be giving them a chance.”

Valentine’s Day always brings up the old question: Is it love or lust? Well?it all depends on chemicals.

There are three phases of love, which include lust, attraction and attachment. Researcher Domeena Renshaw says, “Falling in love causes our body to release a flood of feel-good chemicals that trigger specific physical reactions. This internal elixir of love is responsible for making our cheeks flush, our palms sweat and our hearts race.”

MRI scans have shown that love lights up the pleasure center of the brain. When we fall in love, blood flow increases in this area, which is the same part of the brain responsible for drug addiction and obsessive compulsive disorders.

If I were to describe my religion, I would say that I’m a Christian with a dash of Wiccan and some Buddhism thrown into the mix, so when we went to Las Vegas on business lately, I thought I’d try to see the town through the "eyes" of each of these philosophies in turn.

Whitley and I have never been crazy about that town, since neither of us is interested in gambling. Our whole lives have been a gamble, so taking risks like that isn’t fun for us.

Whitley went to Vegas when he was a college student and actually got thrown out of a casino for counting cards in a game of Blackjack! He said he just assumed that was what you were supposed to do.
