The U.S. is planning for a long war, but can our Moslem allies survive one? Whitley Strieber asks this question in his latest journal entry.
This week, Islamic fundamentalists in Pakistan are planning a nationwide sitdown strike, with the objective of toppling the Pakistani government. If they succeed, it will be a major setback for the United States in this war, and create a completely new and dangerous political situation.
Although it’s most likely that they will fail, every week that passes weakens the government of Pakistan more. Far from settling in for a long war, we are in a race against time. Unless we can achieve a conclusion soon, there are a number of friendly Moslem regimes that are in danger of collapse.
