A 14-year-old-boy was killed for the crime of being a homosexual by the Iraqi police. Despite spending billions of dollars to set up a government and police force in Iraq, we clearly have not made much progress in changing the hearts and minds of Iraqis.
Jerome Taylor reports in the Independent that according to witnesses, the boy was executed on his doorstep by men in police uniforms. There has been a wave of such murders ever since an anti-gay fatwa was issued by Shiite leader Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani. Shiite muslims are the majority religion in Iraq.
Note that you will probably not see this story anywhere in the US media.
These killings come at a time when the causes for both male gayness and lesbianism have been validated by science as being genetic.
