Scientists think we live in a "multiverse" consisting of an infinite number of parallel universes (NOTE: Subscribers can still listen to these shows). Researchers have discovered four circular patterns in the cosmic microwave background (CMB) that could be "bruises" that our universe has incurred from being bumped four times by other universes. Some people think that ETs may come from a parallel universe.
The multiverse concept comes from the idea that the expansive period our universe went through right after the Big Bang was just one of many such periods that different parts of space were–and are still–undergoing. When one part of space undergoes one of these dramatic expansions, it explodes into its own universe with its own physical properties. Quantum physicists Roger Penrose and Vahe Gurzadyan have found concentric circles in the CMB, which could be evidence that Big Bangs occur over and over. It could be the first evidence that universes other than ours actually do exist.
