It had to happen sometime: Google Earth once captured an image of the Loch Ness Monster and now it appears to have spotted a UFO in the UK! One of our film analysis experts says, “When the street view comes up, you should see the object in the sky to the left of the castle. You can zoom in on it and see that it seems to be a solid object with a dark rim and lighter-colored bottom surface. You can get a slightly clearer view of it by going two jumps north.
“Interestingly, if you go only one jump north you’ll see a frame that was taken at a different time in which no UFO appears (in this frame some tourists are seen taking pictures and the clouds are different), but two jumps north brings back the UFO. We can call that ‘frame No. 1.'”
“So frame 1 shows the UFO and frame 2 doesn’t. But if you follow Castle Hill Road to the south as far as the first intersection, you’ll see that frames 3 through 12 DO show the object, except for one frame in which the UFO is obscured by a tree.
“If this isn’t a hoax on the part of Google, I think it’s a pretty interesting find.”
