It has been discovered that men who suffer from constipation are more likelyto get diagnosed with the progressive brain disease Parkinson’s. Scientistsdon’t know why this is the case, although some have suggested that thedisease may have some effect on the function of the gut long before itmanifests itself elsewhere. It is also possible that constipation could be asign that men are living in an environment which could place them at riskfor Parkinson’s. The research project, part of the Honolulu Heart Program,studied 6,790 men between 51 and 75 years old for 24 years.

What may be the most magnificent crop circle ever formed was discovered in the English county of Wiltshire on August 13. The formation is nine hundred feet across and consists of a flawlessly rendered Julia set of masterful design.

Crop Circle researchers are in awe of the formation, which consists of at least four hundred separate circles, all of perfect design. Seasoned researcher Stuart Dike said, “I have been into probably nearly a thousand different crop circles spanning 11 years, but this formation ranks as one of the most awe-inspiring masterpieces I have had the pleasure to experience.”

An unidentified fragment of DNA has been detected by Belgian scientists inMonsanto’s Roundup Ready soya. Greenpeace is asking scientists worldwide tohelp identify it andis urging the government in the U.K. to suspend sales of the soya until itcan be identified.

The Belgian team’s discovery refers to “a DNA segment of 534 bp DNA forwhich no sequence homology could be detected.” Monsanto maintains the soyais not dangerous and says, “The information provided by Greenpeace has notchanged the competent authorities’ conclusions of their original riskassessment” and adds that “any deletion, rearrangement or modification ofthe DNA referred to by Greenpeace occurred at the time of the originalinsertion event.”
