A number of cylinders appear to be present in the sky over a battlefield in Afghanistan. The objects are floating in the air, not moving under their own power. They could be balloons, but the shape and the location are certainly unusual.

Former Megadeth drummer Nick Menza recorded this triangle UFO in Studio City, California on July 14 at 10:52 PM. The object is not a normal display of aircraft lights and probably not a drone, given the movement of the fourth light. This is most likely an unknown.

Here, Third Millenium's Jaime Maussan gathers a number of formation videos that are difficult to explain. They are probably not flocks of geese with the motion sped up because their positions hardly vary, and the one shot over Mexico in January has an outlier flying with a formation of 7 objects that moves in exactly synch with them.

These unusual videos represent probable unknowns.

This footage from France does not appear to be a computer graphic. The objects could be distant balloons, but their movements suggest otherwise.

A sheep has been reported drawn up into a UFO in Lampeter, Wales. Police were called but could do nothing, and the animal has not been recovered. Unfortunately, while the story sourced here reflects some recent information, it fails to mention the long history of sheep abductions and mutilations in the region.

In his most recent nonfiction book about the UFO phenomenon, Solving the Communion Enigma, Whitley Strieber offers some of the long history of sheep attacks in Wales. He writes:

"Author Charles Fort, in his book Lo, describes widespread surgical mutilation of sheep in Wales in 1904-05, commenting that they took place after a religious revival swept the region. Whether they were connected or not isn't clear, but he also relates that there were strange lights seen at the time, which is also a characteristic of the modern animal mutilation phenomenon. Modern ranchers consistently report seeing lights in distant fields prior to finding mutilated cattle, and they were seen again in Wales beginning in 2009, when sheep mutilations returned to the area after an absence of 105 years.
In March of 2009, members of the British Animal Pathology Field Unit were called to a farm in Radnor Forest in Wales where the bloodless corpses of four ewes had been discovered. In January and February of 2010, they returned to the same farm to investigate the discovery of three more sheep mutilations, once again with all the blood removed from the carcasses."

We initially dismissed this one as a lens effect, but that's not what it is. There appears to have been a circular object in the night sky over Galveston in late June. It 'silently crossed the night sky' according to witnesses. Do we have a drone that could do this? Certainly nothing even close to being declassified. This is a genuine unknown. (But look closely, it's hard to see in this video.)

At first glance, this appears to be a Martian moon--until it is photographed in front of a distant mountain range, still glowing strongly. Unless there is a better explanation (and a believable one) coming from NASA, this is a genuine unknown, and on Mars! (The original of this video was hacked and destroyed, but another version is now available on YouTube. Your Out There editor would suggest downloading it promptly if you wish to retain access to it.)

This video, contributed by an Unknowncountry reader, appears to be an authentic daylight UFO capture. The object carries out a maneuver that is impossible for a plane and unlikely for a bird. It is too far away to be an insect, and it almost certainly isn't a drone, because of its shape. It appears to be avoiding something, perhaps even reacting to the fact that it is on camera.

This video was taken a year ago, but the videographer recently got extensive nighttime video in the same general area. Unfortunately, because it is nighttime video and there isn't enough detail, we can't determine whether or not it's a quadcopter.

Differentiating UFOs from lighted quadcopters can be difficult if they're off in the distance, as is the case in the night video. But this daylight video appears authentic to your Out There editor's eye.

Whether the objects depicted in these ancient Mayan glyphs are UFOs as we understand them or not is an open question, but they appear similar to the craft the George Adamski drew during his sightings in the early fifties. In addition, the enormous amount of UFO activity taking place to this day over Mexico suggests that they might well have been seeing the same phenomena.

If so, then this has been going on a lot longer than most UFO researchers would like to believe. Your Out There editor thinks that the phenomenon is, simply, part of life on Earth, perhaps ongoing monitoring by advanced beings for their own reasons, or perhaps something that remains beyond our understanding.

In any case, the video is well worth a look.

The lights recorded in this video appeared over Murietta, California, a few miles east of Camp Pendleton north of San Diego. Similar lights appeared in the same area a year ago. To see that video, click here.

Orange orbs are commonly seen up and down the US West Coast, often rising up out of the Pacific Ocean. Of course, because these appeared over a military base, they could always be flares. While there was an exercise taking place at Camp Pendleton on June 18, military authorities would not state that these were flares. The ones from a year ago appear more like a flare pattern.

However, on June 18, other witnesses in the Camp Pendleton/Murietta area also report strange lights, and these clearly were not flares. For their report on Open Minds, click here.

This brief documentary, suppressed back in the 1960s, has resurfaced. The honesty of this witness was just too obvious for the authorities to tolerate. You watch her talking and describing what she has seen, and you cannot really deny that she is telling the truth. It was an amazing sighting.

These two images taken from a recent release of NSA documents describe a persistent UFO event. Note that there is not the slightest indication of any skepticism, and anything that might have been analytical or supportive of the fact that the sighting involves unknown objects is redacted.

The media and the scientific community follow NASA and the USAF's false claims that they don't see anything of significance in the UFO phenomenon because, even though by now both must know that those claims are lies, they have invested too much ego to admit that they were duped. So matters continue as they are, with no serious scientific study and media coverage that is, quite frankly, stupid.

A number of groups monitor footage from the ISS. One of these is Secure Team, and this time they have captured something quite unusual. We really do not have an explanation for this footage. Unfortunately, because it is impossible to tell how far away the object is, or even whether or not it is a reflection, it must be classified simply as unknown. Your Out There editor's instinct is that it is a physical object of some kind, possibly even a craft of unknown origin. In any case, a very interesting capture.

The Australian Transportation Safety Board reports a near miss between a passenger jet and a silver, cylindrical object in restricted military airspace on March 19. The pilot observed the object to be "cylindrical in shape and gray in color," a typically reported UFO configuration, but not one associated with any known military or civilian drone.

From the report:

"On 19 March 2014, at about 0913 Western Standard Time (WST), a De Havilland DHC-8, registered VH-XFX, was on approach to Perth Airport from Kambalda, Western Australia. When about 23 km north-northeast of Perth, at about 3,800 ft above mean sea level (AMSL), the crew sighted a bright strobe light directly in front of the aircraft."

Steven Greer has released a group of documents that he alleges confirm the existence and purpose of "Project Aquarius," a 1950s era top secret UFO study group within the government. Are they authentic documents? No way to tell at this time. We'll keep following the story. To read Greer's post, click on the source link.
The use of drones to hoax UFOs is reminiscent of the 2008--2010 use of sky lanterns. The sky lantern hoaxes died away, and so will the drone hoaxes, in time. Probably the least interesting you can do with a drone is to use it for a hoax like this, but it's the first thing that occurs to people like Energy Online.

This snapshot was submitted by an Unknowncountry reader from Malaysia. According to our experts, it was an authentic UFO. Looks like they missed on this one.

Two other images were sent. One was a video that our experts felt was a hoax. The other was another photograph that could have been real. So we emailed all three parties asking for further details about their cameras. We were especially concerned about the video because it was lower resolution than any cellphone camera we are familiar with, and lower resolution than any video camera that has been available for many years. But we thought that other cellphones might be in use in Asia, or it could have been an old one like that of the witness who took the still we were sent.

None of the three witnesses has replied, and it has now been a week. We conclude on the basis of our analysis that the video is a hoax, and, based on the silence of the witnesses, the two photos could also be hoaxes. However, it must be recalled that our experts didn't see any obvious evidence of hoaxing in the stills.

Further inquiries within Malaysia have revealed that there is a degree of public suspicion that the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 was due to a UFO event. While no evidence of such a connection exists, it could be that Malaysian authorities have prevented these witnesses from emailing anything further about this matter. If such a connection does exist and is known to US authorities, US intelligence would have intercepted the emails.

The Object Report also received the photographs and the video and experienced the same lack of response that Unknowncountry did. For their report, click here.

Here is the Witness Report:

Around 12:30 PM Malaysia time I was around the Petronas Twin Towers area with my family in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

My young son pointed to the sky and said he saw a hot air balloon. I looked up and saw an object in the sky about the size of a large hot air balloon slowly spinning above and to the side of the Petronas Twin Towers. I thought it was a hot air balloon too as it was totally silent. I took a photo and suddenly about 30 seconds later the object shot upwards at an incredible speed and disappeared into the clouds. There was no sound except for an air burst. I have never seen anything like that before. I did a Google search for UFO sites and your website was listed.

I see that there is a lot of info on your site about UFO’s so maybe you can shed some light on this photo that I am attaching. Sorry for the quality of the picture as my camera phone is an old model.

There were other people in the area and i hope they will also make their pictures public.

Expert Opinion:

Pretty weird.

The sun is behind the clouds, coming in from about the 10 or 11 o'clock position, so while the object is in shadow it's still possible to make out that it's three-dimensional. I have no idea what it is.

Your Out There editor just saw this one, and I'm intrigued. Contrary to a couple of the comments from other viewers, this isn't an insect or a bat. No animal moves like that. And I am fairly sure that it's not a CGI effect, although I can't be certain of that. I'd grade this as an interesting possible unknown.

The National UFO Center reports that professional photographer Jim Montanus of Montanus Photpgraphy photographed an unusual object while taking shots of an incoming storm over Braddock Bay in Greece, New York. He did not see the objects with the naked eye, but they were visible through the camera's preview window on his digital SLR.

It's not clear what the images show. Probably not lens effects, given Mr. Montanus's knowledge of cameras. If a meteor, it would appear to be moving very slowly as these are long-exposure shots. At this time, we're calling this a probable unknown.

“I was looking at these shapes on the back of my cameras and saying what IS it? I don’t believe in UFOs, but, you know, it’s just one of those things. It was just cool.”

Another among the thousands of UFO observations by credible witnesses. It's hard to understand why we ignore the UFO phenomenon. There is no question that it's real. The US government bears a heavy weight of responsibility for the fact that mankind is not gaining the knowledge that would come from proper scientific study of the phenomenon. Were it not for the resistance of the US Air Force, such study would have begun at least fifty years ago. It's just a damn shame--and they should be damned ashamed, too, and the media, and the scientific community, and the idiot skeptics.

Here's an excerpt from the pilot's statement, thanks to MUFON and the Huffington Post:

"As we were coming out the front doors with thousands of fans, I noticed a group of people pointing and staring in the southern sky. I looked up to see what they were watching and saw the following: An extremely bright, pulsating, round white light appeared to be slowly moving north toward the arena. I immediately assumed in was an aircraft on base leg getting ready to make a right turn to land at KFLL. The landing light, or what I thought was a landing light, was extremely bright. Thinking back it really was too bright to be an aircraft but I figured it could be."

Here's more:

"I approximate the object/orb/light to have been about 1500-2000 feet between the final approach fix NOVAE and PIONN. These GPS fixes are noted on the ILS 10L Approach Plate for KFLL. That would place it approximately 8-10 miles due west of KFLL on the 270 deg radial."

This is from an airline pilot with 34 years of experience and knowledge of the local airport. In this insane world of ours, though, he must remain anonymous. Again, shameful. At least he risked sending a report to MUFON.

This is typical of 'slow fall' UFOs. It appears to be a meteor, but it's moving far too slowly. It could be a jet with its contrail foreshortened by the angle at which it is being observed. It could also be something unknown.

This video is a hoax. How do we know? Well, there are a number of answers to that question, and if you send one of the correct ones to whitley@strieber.com, you'll get a chance to win a free copy of the new Alien Hunter audiobook. So, Out There fans, many of you are pretty darn sharp, let's see some action here!

Military pilots reported a low-flying triangular UFO flying just 500 feet overhead. It was evening, but there was enough light in the sky for them to observe it in detail. It had no vertical stabilizer and had a row of pulsating white lights along its trailing edge. Flying with it was a smaller craft.

One witness said that he could see seams in the dull black material the object was made of, but no regulation anti-collision lights.

The description is similar to hundreds of others about dark colored, low flying slow triangles, and another example of how these objects just don't go away, and neither are they explained.
An Australian pilot photographed this object from the ground. It is too brightly and evenly lit to be a radio controlled device such as a homebuilt drone. The sighting took place last night in Caloundra along Australia's Sunshine Coast. The pilot told the Sunshine Coast Daily, "I have heard of and seen many, many things over the course of my career...but nothing like this."

We agree. This strangely lit object looks somewhat like a plane, but the intensity of the lighting qualifies it as presently unknown. The pilot wishes to remain anonymous. For more, visit the Sunshine Coast Daily.

This image from Loch Ness was caught on a satellite camera. Some Loch Ness researchers appear to be convinced that it's Nessie. There's a speculation that it might be a boat, but that seems pretty unlikely, given the fact that it's under the surface and isn't emitting a power wake, but rather has two large appendages in the same position as the wake on the boat pictured here.

If the witness description of this object is accurate, then it must be a genuine unknown. The witness offers a careful description of the movements of the object that would be impossible for a balloon, and adds a detail familiar from many sightings and close encounters: extreme agitation from nearby animals. Our photo experts feel that this is a genuine mystery.

The object caused sheep in the area to start making what to the ear of the witness were unusual, high-pitched sounds of terror. The sighting took place in Wales, where sheep mutilations have been a worrisome constant for well over a hundred years.

This photo of the unknown aircraft that flew over Kansas City at high altitude last week makes it clear that this isn't a known plane. It's not a stealth bomber because it doesn't have the characteristic jagged trailing edge. While it's unusual for classified aircraft to fly over populated areas in broad daylight, it's not completely unheard of, especially if they're about to be made public.

If this is the legendary and often denied Aurora space plane, it's unveiling is going to be a pretty spectacular event.

More photos from another witness are added in this report.

Ring clouds have been photographed fairly frequently for years, but there is no entirely convincing explanation for them. This formation that appeared over Leamington Spa in the UK yesterday is particularly well formed. It hovered for some time before dissipating. There were no storms or unusual weather in the area at the time.

An Unknowncountry reader reminded us that a ring cloud was observed and photographed during a the Rex Heflin UFO sighting in 1965. The cloud, pictured here, emerged as the UFO disappeared.

Residents of Highgate, a posh London suburb, are now reporting unexplained booms. These continue to be heard in many areas, especially in the United States, but it is a worldwide phenomenon. Unfortunately, there is rarely any resolution to these stories.
