Starfire Tor has sent us some interesting information about dogs and gods. Not only information, but the photo attached, which is quite remarkable for a very specific reason that I’ll get to in a moment. Anne’s Diary, the Miracle of God as Dog discusses the details of our relationship to God as dog, how it came about and where it...

On Monday, April 22, Dr. Steven Greer released his documentary, Sirius. Reading and watching the pre-release publicity, I got the impression that the small figure that was its primary subject might not be human or a known animal. Just before release, it was announced that evidence indicated that the individual had been 6-8 years old at death...

Recently I have been thinking about social engineering and how it is used to discredit UFO and close encounter witnesses. I have been a major victim of this, of course, as the most visible advocate on behalf of the value of what the close encounter witnesses are reporting.

The conspiracy theories are already flashing across the internet, and who knows exactly what happened. Just at present, nobody except the perpetrators. What we do know right now is that an act of great cruelty was perpetrated, in the form of detonating bombs that appear to have been designed to destroy people's arms and legs. That is vile...

The North Korean government has threatened a nuclear attack against the United States. The threat has generally been dismissed as preposterous, and I hope it is, but I wonder. It's unlikely that they could reach the United States with a nuclear tipped ICBM, but I think that it's quite probable that they could bomb Seoul, and possibly reach...

Years ago, Betty Andreasson Luca was given a little blue book, which she put on a closet shelf. It later disappeared. Early last October, when I was suffering through a health crisis, I came into contact with a little blue book. In a comment made after publication of my October 5 journal entry, I said that I would publish what I remembered of its...

There's an old fashioned 'UFO flap' going on at present. I don't think that it's because of new methods of communication like YouTube and the tendency of the internet to amplify provocative claims. There isn't really any online hysteria about it, at least not yet. In fact, the community of interested parties is quite calm so maybe this time...

It has now been 66 years since Kenneth Arnold's 1947 UFO sightings and the Roswell Incident, and we're still waiting. Or are we? I'm not. I'm engaged with the visitors and I have been since 1985. And I'm not alone. More people are discovering that it's possible to engage with them right now, and to take it deep. But most of us are waiting--for '...

I'm writing this on the Wednesday before the December 21, 2012 event. It has been disgracefully debased by all of the fake end-of-the-world hysteria spread by hucksters and nincompoops, but the real message of the event is still well worth contemplating. For my own part, I am going to spend a quietly meditative day reflecting on the power and...

I have never been a believer in the idea that December 21, 2012 will be a day of catastrophic change. First the most often-mentioned source of the destruction, this supposed planet Nibiru, doesn't appear to be there. It is claimed to be on an elliptical orbit, but there's a problem with that. Specifically, elliptical orbits violate Kepler's...

UPDATE 12/18/12: Internet hucksters have been using this journal entry to claim that I think that there will be a UFO landing on December 21. This is absolutely not my intent. Sure,  it could happen, but I'm not predicting anything here. I am simply speculating and, no, I have absolutely no idea whether or not it will ever happen, let...

Something very profound has happened. The existence of Sasquatch has been confirmed by a DNA study that appears to have been carried out at a high level of scientific competence. It isn't simply a matter of us having discovered a new species on the Earth. What has been discovered is an intelligent species that is living in a way that is precisely...

It is an odd and chilling feeling to see Hurricane Sandy called a superstorm. It's going to go down in history as Superstorm Sandy. I didn't coin the word 'superstorm' but the Coming Global Superstorm, certainly brought it into the language. And the movie based on it, the Day After Tomorrow, fixed the idea of such storms in the public...

The news media has been calling Hurricane Sandy a 'superstorm.' It is not that, not yet. It is not as intense as storms that will form later in the process of climate change. We have already passed the point of no return on this issue. It is going to happen. In part, this is because the interglacial during which human population has expanded to...

Let me start by saying that I am not advocating either candidate. Unknowncountry is a website for people of every political persuasion, so we keep our political views to ourselves. However I want to discuss an issue which I feel is the first one we should consider when we decide which candidate we are going to chose, each of us by his own lights...

I have just come past the most fearsome experience of pain I have ever known, and one that counts among the most profound agonies a human being can experience. I endured this agony for three weeks, until finally I got my surgery. The pain is still there, but it is tolerable and manageable, and will fade over time.

One of the great blessings of being human is that we walk upright. I don't think it's something that evolved over any length of time; we just started doing it. As a result the human back is kind of thrown together. Or maybe if somebody designed us, they were too busy with other things or at war or whatever, and just didn't get the back done right.

Over the next couple of years, two things will happen: first, the planetary environment is going to tank; second, a few of us are going to find our way toward the future by using an ancient tool in a very new way. This tool is meditation, and the new use of it involves simultaneous meditation in groups. These groups do not need to be in the same...

A few weeks ago, I published a journal entry called 'Change of Being.' I would like to return to this subject and describe what has become an ongoing process of inner change. I was on Coast to Coast week before last with George Knapp when I had the first experience of just how much I have changed. He announced that Tony Scott had committed suicide...

There are now a number of plausible end-of-the-world scenarios, enough to justify thinking seriously, and in a new way, what such an event might mean to us. It's easy to say, oh, well, that's it, then, we'll just be gone. That might not be the whole story. Before I discuss why I think that, I'd like to run through a few of these scenarios. I'll...

I have been doing the 'Compassion Walk' meditation that is in our subscriber section, and am finding that it offers a profound change of energy. For those of you who are not subscribers, it's quite simple. You do it by directing your attention to your physical sensations and away from your mind while walking among other people, say in a mall...

I have not added a journal entry in months. The reason is that I have been at a loss about what to say. But I'm going to try, at least to put down a few paragraphs about what's been happening to me. Outwardly, I've been living my life, writing, working on this website, interacting with friends, all the usual things. Inwardly, though, something...

In December of 2007, I had a brief sighting of a UFO outside our bedroom window. It was at low altitude and moving with stately ease into rushing storm clouds. The object was brightly lit, at low altitude, and disappeared into the clouds before I could get a picture. This sighting was accompanied by the most complicated close encounter experience...

Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Washington and former Mossad Chief Meier Dagan appeared on 60 Minutes to warn that war with Iran would be a mistake. Meanwhile, it has been pointed out by numerous commentators that no country which has acquired nuclear weapons since World War II has used them, and that nuclear arsenals...

Some of the late Barry Goldwater's UFO-related correspondence has recently been released, and it makes shocking reading, for a reason that I will detail in a moment. After I read it, though, I found myself thinking about the present state of the UFO mystery, how we have gotten here, and what has been lost. When Goldwater's first letters...

Beginning in March of 2011, people began posting videos on YouTube of odd sounds that seemed to have no source. I first became aware of them about a month ago, when Anne and I briefly heard one filling the air, a great roaring that died away as suddenly as it had begun. It was just enough to cause us to take notice, but we thought no more of it. A...

Last week, this journal started with the paragraph: "My new book, Solving the Communion Enigma is being murdered in the bookstores. There is no other way to say it. Try finding it in a bookstore." Now it turns out that it is moving out of the stores very well, and that's thanks to you. There have also been some good reviews of it, for...

It is a late hour. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. I sit listening to Rachmaninoff's Vocalise sung by Anna Moffo, which I would listen to on nights when I felt that the visitors were coming. They would cast such a spell over me on those nights, with their strangeness and their longing. They seemed far from home, but not physically; rather, from a home...

My novella the Christmas Spirits is now available as a hardcover. You can watch a video about it on my YouTube Channel, and it's available for Kindle in the US and the UK. It is an updating of a book I have loved deeply all of my life, Dickens' a Christmas Carol.

Over the past 6 weeks 5,387 people signed a petition asking for disclosure of the government’s knowledge of and communications with ETs. 12,078 signed a request that the White House formally acknowledge that extraterrestrial intelligence is engaging with the human race. Last week, the White House responded, saying that there was no evidence...
