Writer Nick Redfern (NOTE: Subscribers can still listen to this show) has urged Blair to "consider making available for public scrutiny all of the many and varied UFO reports compiled by the government."
Blair requested the briefing as the government began to implement the Freedom of Information requests, which led to the release of almost 7,000 pages of UFO documents to the National Archives.
BBC News reveals that "The documents also include details of a briefing made before a House of Lords debate on UFOs in 1979, and reveal that former prime minister John Major had been asked by a fellow MP in 1996 whether the government would set up a national inquiry into UFO sightings."
According to the BBC, the documents also include an email from an intelligence officer working on the desk who described the daily mechanics of the investigative role. The officer says it is was the Ministry of Defense’s role to figure out whether UFOs are a threat to the UK’s security.
Governments often see their role as one of covering up UFO information, but we see OURS as revealing it, and here’s how we do it: We have posted TWENTY interviews with contactees, just for our subscribers, with people who tell you about their extraordinary experiences IN THEIR OWN WORDS. Don’t wait for the government: THIS is the way to find out what’s REALLY going on.
