Ireland is experiencing a UFO wave, which is unusual for a country that experiences most of its anomalies in ways that connect directly to the Catholic Church (such as Virgin sightings, etc.), as Whitley discovered when he toured there for Communion.

We recently gave you an update on the latest information about bird flu. There’s some good news from researchers who are working hard to create a vaccine against the H5N1 bird flu virus, which is the kind that attacks humans: It turns out that combining genes from H5N1 with genes from a common flu virus DOES NOT seem to create a deadly strain of flu.

Peter Aldhous reports in New Scientist that by itself, H5N1 meets two of three requirements for a virus that could lead to an epidemic, because it is easy to catch (but only directly from poultry, so far) and most human immune systems are unfamiliar with it and therefore have no defenses against it.

It’s known that the younger children in a family have stronger immune systems, due to being exposed to so many diseases picked up by their older siblings. Now it’s been discovered that they ALSO have better senses of humor?in fact, most comedians are the youngest children in the family.

BBC News reports that around 50% of younger siblings say it?s easy to be funny, cmpared with only one-third of first-born children. Only 11% of only children are able to make other people laugh.
