Secret City

In this week's Dreamland interview, Lloyd Pye talks about hidden cities. A long lost city in what is now South Africa has recently been discovered. The remains aren't noticeable from the ground, but just like crop circles, they can be seen clearly from the air.

The remains of a huge metropolis that measure about 1,500 square miles, and are part of an even larger community of about 10,000 square miles. These cities appear to have been constructed between 160,000 and 200,000 BCE.

Researcher Michael Tellinger worked with pilot Johan Heine. Heine had long suspected the ruins were there and had been searching for them from the air for many years.

In Viewzone, Dan Eden quotes researcher Michael Tellinger as saying, "When Johan first introduced me to the ancient stone ruins of southern Africa, I had no idea of the incredible discoveries we would make in the year or two that followed. The photographs, artifacts and evidence we have accumulated points unquestionably to a lost and never-before-seen civilization that predates all others, not by just a few hundred years, or a few thousand years, but many thousands of years. These discoveries are so staggering that they will not be easily digested by the mainstream historical and archeological fraternity, as we have already experienced. It will require a complete paradigm shift in how we view our human history."

And the reason for the city being there? Tellinger and Heine think it's an age-old story: gold. This ancient metropolis is situated close to the largest supply of gold on earth. Eden quotes Tellinger as saying, "The thousands of ancient gold mines discovered over the past 500 years point to a vanished civilization that lived and dug for gold in this part of the world for thousands of years, and if this is in fact the cradle of humankind, we may be looking at the activities of the oldest civilization on earth." Could their real secret have been white powder gold?
