Downloading Files in the Archive

When you click on the download button for a given file , one of two things may happen, depending on the settings in your computer. On most computers, you will see a box asking you where you want to save the file. Check to see that you’re downloading to a appropriate place (such as your desktop) and click “OK”.

If you have an Apple mobile device and streaming repeats or downloading stops, this is because these devices do not have a file management system and you do not have enough memory to complete the operation. In this case, visit the Apple app store and get an app called Filer. Download through the app.

On other computers, left-clicking the “link” below the MP3 will cause your media player to start up. It will then begin playing the file from our server rather than downloading it. If you wish to download instead, RIGHT click on the download link.  You will see a drop down menu. On it will be the instruction “Save Target As” or “Save Link As”. Left click on this and your computer will prepare for the download.

Uses of MP3 Files

MP3 files may be copied to MP3 players that have enough memory or hard disk space. They may then be played anywhere you can take your MP3 player. They may also be burned onto a read-writeable CD, if you have the proper disk drive and burning software in your computer. You can burn two or more Dreamlands in MP3 format onto a CD. These CDs can be played in any CD player that is able to play MP3 files. In general, a CD player that can play MP3 files will say so on the case. Older CD players do not have this capability. Many modern stereos and DVD players can play MP3 disks.
