The Kuwaiti Al-Anba daily reports that Sadam Hussin has an advanced terminal case of cancer of lymph nodes, according an Iraqi official. Doctors who checked him over after his capture in December predict he will only live for a few more years. The U.S. military was aware that he might be ill, since one of his private doctors in Syria informed them about this when we first invaded Iraq. This means he may not live long enough to come to trial. While this will not give his enemies the closure they seek, it may prevent a backlash from his followers, as well as from al-Qaeda terrorists.

Interviews with Saddam’s wizard and his secret wife reveal a lot about the Iraqi dictator. His wizard predicted his downfall and his wife’s brother tried to overthrow his government.

Saddam’s personal magician won’t reveal his name. “That man is still alive, so I?m afraid,” he says. “I helped him, his sons, his ministers, his wife, his cousins, but I can’t mention names. When he is dead I can talk about him.” Will Saddam be found dead or alive? “Dead,” the wizard replies. And where? “Dhuluaiyah,” he says. This is a village 55 miles north of Baghdad.

Israeli intelligence says Saddam has lots of weapons of mass destruction, as well as nuclear weapons. According to them, during the year before the U.S. invaded Iraq, Saddam transferred all of his weapons to Syria, including equipment, material and even scientists.

His plan was to quickly reassemble all his weapons once the UN inspectors went home. Israel says weapons were also hidden in the desert in western Iraq, as well as in the homes of Sunni Iraqis.
