Ring clouds have been photographed fairly frequently for years, but there is no entirely convincing explanation for them. This formation that appeared over Leamington Spa in the UK yesterday is particularly well formed. It hovered for some time before dissipating. There were no storms or unusual weather in the area at the time.
An Unknowncountry reader reminded us that a ring cloud was observed and photographed during a the Rex Heflin UFO sighting in 1965. The cloud, pictured here, emerged as the UFO disappeared.
