This snapshot was submitted by an Unknowncountry reader from Malaysia. According to our experts, it was an authentic UFO. Looks like they missed on this one.

Two other images were sent. One was a video that our experts felt was a hoax. The other was another photograph that could have been real. So we emailed all three parties asking for further details about their cameras. We were especially concerned about the video because it was lower resolution than any cellphone camera we are familiar with, and lower resolution than any video camera that has been available for many years. But we thought that other cellphones might be in use in Asia, or it could have been an old one like that of the witness who took the still we were sent.

None of the three witnesses has replied, and it has now been a week. We conclude on the basis of our analysis that the video is a hoax, and, based on the silence of the witnesses, the two photos could also be hoaxes. However, it must be recalled that our experts didn’t see any obvious evidence of hoaxing in the stills.

Further inquiries within Malaysia have revealed that there is a degree of public suspicion that the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 was due to a UFO event. While no evidence of such a connection exists, it could be that Malaysian authorities have prevented these witnesses from emailing anything further about this matter. If such a connection does exist and is known to US authorities, US intelligence would have intercepted the emails.

The Object Report also received the photographs and the video and experienced the same lack of response that Unknowncountry did. For their report, click here.

Here is the Witness Report:

Around 12:30 PM Malaysia time I was around the Petronas Twin Towers area with my family in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

My young son pointed to the sky and said he saw a hot air balloon. I looked up and saw an object in the sky about the size of a large hot air balloon slowly spinning above and to the side of the Petronas Twin Towers. I thought it was a hot air balloon too as it was totally silent. I took a photo and suddenly about 30 seconds later the object shot upwards at an incredible speed and disappeared into the clouds. There was no sound except for an air burst. I have never seen anything like that before. I did a Google search for UFO sites and your website was listed.

I see that there is a lot of info on your site about UFO’s so maybe you can shed some light on this photo that I am attaching. Sorry for the quality of the picture as my camera phone is an old model.

There were other people in the area and i hope they will also make their pictures public.

Expert Opinion:

Pretty weird.

The sun is behind the clouds, coming in from about the 10 or 11 o’clock position, so while the object is in shadow it’s still possible to make out that it’s three-dimensional. I have no idea what it is.
