Stephen Hawking says it will, if global warming continues the way it’s going now. Hawking says he is “very worried about global warming” because the earth “might end up like Venus, at 250 degrees centigrade and raining sulfuric acid.”

In LiveScience.com, Alexa Olesen reports that he made this speech in front of an audience of 500 people in China, which is the second largest producer of greenhouse gases (after the US).

Hawking said that although he is confined to a wheelchair, his mind is “free to explore back to the origins of the universe and into black holes.”
