At last, we’re in the new website. The free message board and subscriber chats have returned, and we will once again be posting lots of new subscriber material, news stories, shows and everything else that makes this site so exciting and unique. To navigate, use the menu just above this post. If you are a subscriber, log in before moving to different areas or you will still be in the free versions. If you can’t log in, keep reading.
The free area of the site includes the news, current podcasts with commercials, all blogs and the free message board. The subscriber area adds a huge archive and much, much more!
IF YOU ARE AN ACTIVE SUBSCRIBER you received an email yesterday with your username, which is now your email address, and a temporary password. You should be able to log in normally using these credentials. If you did not see the letter, look in your spam folder. If you still can’t find it, try to log in with YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, NOT YOUR OLD USERNAME. If it denies you entry, this is probably because your subscription is inactive. Sign up for a new subscription. Should you end up getting double billed, we will fix this promptly. When you create a new account, you can choose any username you prefer. Also, we now take both credit cards and PayPal, and you can manage your subscription from your account page, including cancellation. Please note that your credit card charges will be from Walker & Collier, Inc.
If you have questions or problems, email email@example.com. Do not try to call. It does not work. We will help you promptly, courteously and honestly, as always.
The subscriber chat room is back and group chats will be held on Wednesdays at 7PM Pacific Time starting on Wednesday, May 29.
FREE MESSAGE BOARD
The message board has returned. To use it, you must become a site user, which is free. You do not need a paid subscription to join the board. Just click on the “register” tab in the forum and set up your user. We will need your real email address or the signup will fail, but you will be able to use avatars in the board. Remember that Unknowncountry is not like the big social media sites. We do not track you. We do not sell your email addresses. We only use them for the minimum amount of communication necessary to keep you informed about the site.
Everything else is pretty much the same. The entire site archive from the old site is here and available to search. This includes the news dating from 1998 and all of our shows dating from 2004.
Enjoy the new Unknowncountry.com, and if you have ideas for improvement, suggestions and so forth, navigate to the message board and let us know!
