The LAST place you’d think to look for Atlantis (NOTE: Subscribers can still listen to this show) is under the North Sea, but there appears to be a hidden underwater city down there.

"Doggerland," a huge area of dry land that stretched from Scotland to Denmark, was slowly submerged by water between 18,000 and 5,500 BC. This lost land was once roamed by mammoths and was home to tens of thousands of human beings.

The area was once the "real heartland" of Europe and was hit by "a devastating tsunami." But it wasn’t a quick end–it took thousands of years for the land mass to finally become submerged.

In the Daily Mail, Rob Waugh quotes researcher Richard Bates as saying, "Around 20,000 years ago, part of this area would have been covered with ice. When the ice melted, more land was revealed–but the sea level also rose.

"We have now been able to model its flora and fauna, build up a picture of the ancient people that lived there and begin to understand some of the dramatic events that subsequently changed the land, including the sea rising and a devastating tsunami."

We want to deliver a small warning to all our readers and listeners: If we don’t get more support from you, it won’t take a tsunami to finish us off: We will be nothing more than a memory in the future.
