Chad writes: When I was in second grade, I had a very terrifying experience. Im 26 years old now and I still remember the events like they happened yesterday. Every night, for about 2 weeks, I would go to my room and get into bed. I would no sooner lie down, then all of a sudden I would hear a voice in my room. This voice always spoke in a language I couldnt understand and seemed to be coming from some sort of electronic device. Whenever I tell people about this experience, I say that the voice sounded like it was coming through a megaphone, but not as loud. Every time this happened, I would get so scared that I couldnt move. I could open my eyes the slightest bit, but I couldnt see anyone. I couldnt move my head from side to side, so that may explain why I didnt see anybody. This happened every night for about 2 weeks, and every time, despite my fear, I would finally end up falling asleep.

The last time that this happened to me, I finally understood something the voice said. After the voice spoke for a while, using words I could not understand, It said “Turn and face the wall. Of course, I didnt moveI couldnt. My body was paralyzed. I was so scared I thought I was going to die. The voice then said, Turn and face the wall or well do it for you. Once again, terror shot through me like a bolt of lightning. I couldnt move, I couldnt talk, so I peeked out and discovered that I was about two feet off my bed, turning in mid-air!

I had not felt my body leave the bed, so to find myself turning in mid-air was quite a shock. Once I was facing the wall, my body came back down onto the bed. I still couldn’t move for several moments. I finally got the feeling I could move and I gathered up enough courage to race out of my room and into my parents room. Of course, they didnt believe what had just happened to me.

As I read your book, I became very interested when you began talking about hearing voices that sounded like low-quality speakers. It sent chills through my body. Also, when you spoke of your body being controlled by something else, tears came to my eyes. You are the only person I know of who has experienced the same things. I dont know what happened to me, but I know I didnt have the same dream every night for two weeks. I have heard the megaphone-like voice on two other occasions a few years later. I was at my grandparents house when it happened the first time. I went to bed and as soon as I got into bed, I heard that voice speaking another language. Somehow I ended up falling asleep. The only other time I heard the voice was a little while after that. I dont remember where I was, I just remember getting into bed and hearing a voice say my name into my right ear. I do have several scars on my body that I am unable to explain.
