Tom Peek, author of Mauna Kea: A Novel of Hawai’i, joins guest host Jeremy Vaeni to talk about the truths that underlie his latest book on Hawai’i’s most sacred mountain, a place where science and magic come together and also clash.

This is Jeremy’s final edition of Dreamland. Starting on Feb 23, Kelly Chase of the UFO Rabbit Hole Podcast will be our once-a-month substitute host.

  1. I was wondering when you’d get around to discussing Hawaiian mysticism!

And I, for one, am sorry to see you leaving Dreamland: thank you for kicking our collective butts with alternative viewpoints, keeping us from getting too complacent in our beliefs.

    Until next we meet, aloha!

  2. Please keep your foot in the door Jeremy and pop in from time to time. I’ve appreciated your sense of humour for quite some time and in particular your take on just getting on with things when life takes a swipe at us.

I’m working this morning and the long drive home will be populated by this interview. I’ll be alone as I drive but my mind will be with you, Tom and the other Dreamlanders as, for an hour or so, my mundane surroundings drift away and the higher order of consciousness above us has its weekly chance to say hello.

    Bless you and yours Jeremy.

    Peace.

  3. Thank you Jeremy and Tom. This was the best show you’ve done. Best luck to both of you with your books. I definitely have to read Maura Kea A Novel of Hawaii.

  4. I am currently in Hilo looking at Mauna Kea and whales spouting! Totally love this and will miss you Jeremy!
I have always considered myself an acupuncture needle for the earth!

  5. Great interview and I will miss you very much, Jeremy. I hope you will come back in the future to do the occasional interview. Always have loved your viewpoint and very best on your other ventures!
