The Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Switzerland has been repaired and is now running. So, what does that mean. There have been fears that it could generate a black hole that would consume the earth. Others have theorized that it is being sabotaged by physicists from the future.

Does any of this make any sense? Should we be afraid–or excited that physicists may confirm the existence of the legendary Higgs Boson, the particle that is believed to weld everything in the universe together, the so-called “God particle?”

Listen as Linda Moulton Howe interviews Dr. Stephen Goldfarb who is the muon expert on the ATLAS experiment at the Collider. He gives clear explanations of exactly what the Collider is and is not doing, what the Higgs Boson is, and why we should be so excited about the Collider and what we may be about to learn from its operations.

Linda Moulton Howe’s website is Earthfiles.com.
