Whitley Strieber has had a number of documented ‘time slips,’ as well as movements through time. Here, he describes some of his experiences to time expert Anthony Peake. Drawing on his extensive knowledge of physics, neurology and psychiatry, Peake explains his theories of how and why they happen.

In this wide-ranging conversation, the subject of the Fatima apparition comes up, and Whitley proceeds to explain that he knew a priest who had witnessed the ‘dancing sun’ along with 50,000 other people. He then tells us what this elderly priest said he actually saw–very different from what is commonly believed.

Anthony also describes a new device he is testing called a hypnogogic light device. Developed by a neurologist, it uses light to induce such things as out-of-body experience.

Thank you for these wonderful, deep discussions. Whitley, you are a contemporary Scheherazade — you make me want the conversations to go on and on. You get so close to glimpses of answers to the cosmic questions.

Wonderful thoughts from Anthony Peake! I must read his books. Regular meditation can bring on time slips and other strange experiences.

  2. Some of these experiences,
Some of these experiences, especially the visual ones, resemble Charles Bonnet Syndrome. I began suffering from it after a stroke in 2008 when I lost most of my vision. I also have very strange seizures where people’s faces take on strange aspects, like they look like animals, or everyone in the room looks the same, or I can’t recognize anyone including my own family. Some of these were deemed seizures by my neurologist but others were due to Bonnet syndrome where the non-visual parts of the brain try to take over vision after the visual cortex dies or is damaged. My Mom had the same thing while suffering from macular degeneration.
When I use medicinal doses of marijuana, it relaxes the parts of my brain that have “recovered ” from my stroke and my vision returns to what it was right after the event, including hallucinations, cartoon-like faces, and inability to tell real faces from artwork. For me to keep my brain working to “see” is very tiring and causes migraines, so a dose of edible MJ now and then relaxes the tension in my brain and lets things unwind for a bit, even if it means I lose the normal vision I have gained in my recovery for a while.

    Whitley,
Have you ever considered the feeling you felt during your 1983 time slip when you tried to grab the piece of paper in the gutter could have been caused by the principle of least action?

I so much enjoyed the program, as I do all of the Dreamland programs and special interviews. The Jane Roberts/Seth books give excellent insight into simultaneous time and lives etc.. Her “Education of Oversoul Seven” books are especially delightful, including “Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time”. For a period of time Jane held classes, attended by a variety of people. Sue Watkins wrote a two volume book about these classes, “Conversations With Seth”. When you mentioned your experiences as still living in the Roman Empire, it reminded me of one of the class participants in the Conversations book, Vol. 1, who had a series of experiences where he interacted with a “still living” self, a soldier in the Civil War, to the benefit of both of them, one of them gaining in compassion and the other gaining a greater sense of strength and trust in his personal energy. Thanks again for the excellence of all that you provide.

Kathleen, I’m sorry, I should have read your post before I wrote mine. I’m SO glad you read Seth as well. I need to read Sue Watkins books. Have you heard the recordings of Jane when she is letting Seth come in? I can’t place the accent, it almost sounds strongly German. I read and re-read Seth and sometimes only a sentence, that I will dwell on for quite some time. Whitley, thank you for this wonderful program ~ Cindy

        Hi Cindy!
Yes I have some of the recordings. It is a strange accent and is his own, I think. I also read and re-read the books, and from year to year, I see and understand so much more. And I am always left feeling stronger and more alive. ” The Universe leans in your direction. It rings with vitality!” Glad you love the books, too.

  6. For years I have experienced
For years I have experienced the “light” that turns on in my vision when I close my eyes to go to sleep at night. I have at times mentioned it to friends who look at me as if I am not altogether sane and the response is most always….hmmm. The conversation then changes to some other subject. Recently I had come to the conclusion that it is the pineal gland that somehow causes this. My mother was a visionary and I always heard of my great-grandmother who was a healer and I assumed that It was an inherited ability though I didn’t know how. I have children who have these abilities and now my grandchildren as well. This conversation between you and Mr Peake explained a lot about many of the experiences I had in the past and am still experiencing. Thanks.

  7. This fits absolutely with the
This fits absolutely with the information that Seth channeled down to Jane Roberts in the 70’s- have any of you read Seth? I think this fits particularly well with “Seth Speaks – Eternal Validity of the Soul” Seth specifically says – “You create your own reality” We seem to pick from a variety of potential realities………. Whitley, both of these interviews have touched me deeply – its touching a nerve. I will listen to them many times, just as I read Seth over and over. There is so much to learn – the older I become the more humbled I become in what I do not know……..

  8. “The Present is the Point of
“The Present is the Point of Power.” This Seth quote (sometimes stated “The Point of Power is in the Present”) pretty much sums up the relationship we have “working within the framework of time as you understand it…. you actualize events from the present intersection of spirit and flesh, choosing them from probabilities according to your beliefs. All of your physical, mental and spiritual abilities are focused together, then, in the brilliant concentration of “present” experience. You are not at the mercy of the past, or of previous convictions, unless you BELIEVE that you are. If you
fully comprehend your POWER in the present, you will realize that action at that point also alters the past, its beliefs and your reactions.” (SESSION 657. APRIL 18, 1973).

So glad to hear others have read Seth, too! I keep the 2 vols of “Unknown Reality” on my nightstand and read from it every day like many people read the Bible.

  9. The subscriber interview was
The subscriber interview was over the top tremendous! One of the absolute best ever. It was unending wonder from beginning to end. What a treat it was to be allowed to listen in to a conversation between Whitley Strieber and Anthony Peake. How do you top this one Whitley? Simply amazing.

  10. Whitley, I loved this show!
Whitley, I loved this show! You mentioned the ‘third eye’ and said we could ask for help with using ours. Can you, or anyone else, give me some pointers please? Thanks alot.

  11. Yes, Susie, I would like help
Yes, Susie, I would like help with viewing other worlds also, as Whitley mentioned. Perhaps he could answer us here so he wouldn’t have to answer a bunch of emails.
