In response to recent approval of a genetically-modified corn product by the European Union, nineteen out of the twenty-eight European Union member countries have decided to opt out of the use of that crop, effectively banning their use.

The list of European countries that have either opted-out of use of the EU-approved products, includes Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, and Slovenia. The United Kingdom requested for a partial opt-out, applied to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, while Belgium applied for a ban for Wallonia.

These two ideas have affected the religion ever since. And yet, hidden in its past is a very different vision of the human experience, one in which sexuality was celebrated as sacred and women were looked upon like men, as holy beings. Queen Nefertiti: wife to the pharaoh Akhenaten, co-founder of a revolution in Ancient Egypt’s religion, suspected stepmother to Tutankhamun, and also had possibly reigned as the pharaohness Neferneferuaten herself. Despite being such an influential and well-documented figure in ancient Egypt, the nature of the death of Queen Nefertiti, and the location of her tomb, has remained a mystery.

However, that mystery may soon be solved, if the suspicions of Egyptologist Nicholas Reeves prove to be correct. Recently, utilizing high-resolution 3D scans made by Madrid-based conservation group Factum Arte, Reeves discovered inconsistencies in the walls of Tutankhamun’s tomb that suggested that there may be hidden passages beyond the famous king’s mausoleum.

The residents of a community on the north end of Vancouver Island in Canada are being haunted by mysterious howls coming from the woods, of which are also accompanied by sightings of the elusive creature known as Sasquatch, or Bigfoot.

At night, the residents of the community of Alert Bay, on Cormorant Island, British Columbia, have heard strange, non-human howling noises, despite the lack of wildlife on the small island. Some have suggested that what they’re hearing is the howling of a dog, but witness Art Dick dismisses that theory: "With that volume, absolutely not. No dog can make that kind of a noise, with that volume."
