An international team of scientists has discovered that the last remaining stable portion of the Greenland ice sheet is stable no more.

Now many of the investigators are beginning to think that Flight 370 was destroyed because of a fast-moving cockpit fire or another mechanical issue. This is because there has been no evidence at all that the plane was hijacked. The last ACARS message came at 1:07 AM, indicating no problem. The transponder stopped at 1:21. The next ACARS message, due to be transmitted at 1:37 didn’t happen. However, ACARS is programmed to transmit any emergency situations immediately on receiving them and nothing like that was received by Malaysia Airlines.

Numbers of UFO sightings in Canada have soared to dizzy heights over the past couple of years, with figures reaching a record high in 2012. Almost 2000 reports were made during that year, though UFOlogy Research director Chris Rutkowski suggested that this peak could have been related to the "end of the world" predictions that prevailed in 2012, inspired by the end of the Mayan calendar.

 Los Angeleans were given an unexpected alarm call from Mother Nature on Monday morning as an earthquake shook the city at around 6.25am.

The earthquake was initially graded at 4.7 on the Richter scale, but this reading was reduced to 4.4 a short time later.The areas bearing the brunt of the shaking were Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades, and West Los Angeles.This is the largest quake to hit Southern California this year, though the north of the state was rocked by an earthquake last week.
