This video of a UFO supposedly racing past the Popocatepetl Volcano near Mexico City has been viralizing around the internet lately. It purports to show a UFO racing toward the ominously smoking Popo crater, then flying into it. What it actually shows is a slightly sped up image of an observation plane circling the crater, then moving downward behind it. Such flights around Popo are common.

Superconductors can be made to levitate in a magnetic field. They try to expel magnetic fields from within themselves, a very unique property. In space, it would be easy to keep material at temperatures close to absolute zero, meaning that a system using this could conceivably be propelled without any energy at all, at least in regions of space where there are magnetic fields. A direct hit from an ejection of charged particles from the sun could be among the most serious of natural disasters, NASA head Charles Bolden warned Tuesday. Bolden spoke before scientists and industry members at the Space Weather Enterprise Forum, which was held at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Auditorium and Science Center in Silver Spring, Md. A few days later, a huge hole opened up in the sun’s corona, raising the possibility that major solar storms could take place in the next few days.

The Baltic Anomaly, a strangely shaped object discovered last year at the bottom of the Baltic Ocean, has proved to be harder to fathom than researchers originally believed. It now appears that it might be far older than thought, possibly associated with an ancient mining operation. Last summer, our final report on the anomaly we reported that some of the researchers had concluded that the object might have been something placed there by the Nazis to disrupt Russian submarine navigation. However, after more fragments have been brought to the surface, it has developed that the anomaly contains a complex mix of metals, and is not the concrete block it was originally thought to be.read more
