Strange stone rectangles that were found there over 15 years ago suggest this may be the case. In 1994, a solitary Kurdish shepherd made an archeological discovery at a site called Gobekli Tepe that has revolutionized the way we look at the origin of religion. In the Daily Mail, Tom Knox quotes archaeologist Klaus Schmidt as saying, "As soon as I got there and saw the stones, I knew that if I didn’t walk away immediately I would be here for the rest of my life."

This satellite map based illustration from NOAA shows the awesome breadth of the winter’s snow pack. If we did not have a hot summer, which we are likely to have, and a snow pack such as this did not melt, the reflectivity of the planet would be such that a new glacier would start to form. If I am right, there will come a winter, sooner or later, that is so intense and lasts so long that the snow pack doesn’t melt over the summer. It will not be this winter, though. Probably. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1353073/Winter-storm-Map-shows-Northern-Hemisphere-covered-snow-ice.html
