UFOs are commonly seen in the sky, but we’ve been searching in vain for alien signals for a long time now. We may have finally found one (let’s hope we don’t shoot at them this time).

A planet that lies in the habitable zone of another star, which scientists have named Gliese 581g, may have sent out a signal in the form of a burst of light. Australian astronomer Ragbir Bhathal detected the pulse of light 2 years ago, coming from that part of our galaxy.

No problem – Forget all those jokes about cow flatulence causing climate change. A new study reports that the dairy industry is responsible for only about 2% of all US greenhouse gas emissions.

While one group of researchers addressed carbon emissions from the dairy to the milk in your cereal bowl, another group looked further upstream. Engineer David Shonnard says, “We focused on the carbon footprint of the feed crops. Animal feed is a major contributor to carbon emissions.”

Is it really a smile? – Now that so many people communicate via the internet, facial expressions aren’t scrutinized the way they used to be. But one group of people frequently appear on TV (where we can see their faces) are people who are running for office. When an election is coming up, how can we know what they’re REALLY thinking–do we need to be psychic? (NOTE: Subscribers can still listen to this show). It’s good to know that scientists are studying this, and they’ve discovered that a smile isn’t always a smile, especially when it’s on the face of a politician.
