An asteroid passed between the earth and the moon on Friday, but NASA didn’t find out about it until Thursday (or if they did, they didn’t tell us). If it had impacted, it could have destroyed a major city. Maybe we’d get better information if some of our scientists were honest about what’s really going on out there.

Msn.com spotted a Twitter on Friday from a member of NASA’s Asteroid Watch Team that said, “That’s slightly closer than the orbit of our moon.” Our so-called Asteroid Watch Team isn’t doing much careful “watching!”

Who would have thought that space science has the kind of secrets worth spying for? Stewart David Nozette, one of the NASA scientists who discovered that there is water on the moon, has been arrested as a spy for Israel, after being caught on videotape in an FBI “sting” operation. What kinds of secrets was he revealing?

Despite the many conspiracy theories swirling around the internet, the Apollo mission to the moon in 1969 was real, although some of the moon rocks have turned out to be fake. The proof comes from NASA satellite images.

In 2002, scientist and astronaut Buzz Aldrin even decked a documentary maker who claimed the moon missions were faked. New images from NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) provide proof that the Apollos 11 landing was real. They show images of the TV camera, which is still sitting there, and even show Neil Armstrong’s footprints. You can also see the Ranging Retro Reflector, which is still in operation today.

Not blind enough? – First we extradite Roman Polanski from Switzerland in order to put him on trial in Los Angeles, now Gary McKinnon (who hacked into NASA computers looking for UFO information) has been refused permission to appeal to the UK Supreme Court against his extradition to the US. Both of them could end up spending the rest of their lives in American prisons.
