We recently reported on accusations that 911 was a conspiracy. Some people think the real reason we invaded Iraq was not 911, but oil. Now Greg Palast writes in The Guardian that the Iraq war IS all about oil, but according to Palast, we didn’t invade Iraq three years ago in order to have more oil, we went to war so we’d have less (and the oil companies would have higher profits).

Investigative reporter Ken Welch reports on his website that a fake terrorist attack is about to take place in order to justify the continuation of the war in Iraq and the Patriot Act. While he relies partly on the dubious technique of reverse-speech analysis, his warnings make a certain amount of common sense and we are posting the story in order to attempt to defuse any such action, should it be contemplated.

According to Welch, a nuclear device made in the former Soviet Union has been transported on a ship which is now docked off Galveston, Texas, and it is scheduled to be detonated during the Easter holidays, “to maximize the illusion that the world is involved in religious conflict.”

At my first birthday celebration after I got out of the hospital, my new daughter-in-law brought me a Splenda cheesecake, since I was still on a strict diet. We put some candles on it for me to blow out.
