Ihave often heard Christians say, ‘if I did not believe inthe resurrection, I could not be a Christian,’ or, ‘I havefaith because Christ rose again.’ However, there is nothingin the gospel that ‘proves’ the resurrection according tomodern standards of evidence, and I don’t think it’snecessary to believe anything in order to have faith. To me,the words of Christ are enough. Even if there was noresurrection, I would still be a Christian. Even if no Jesusever actually walked the earth, I would still be aChristian.”

The earthquake off the coast of Sumatra that triggered thelate December 26 tsunami has increased stress on the seabedfault zone, raising the chances of another earthquake, whichwould lead to another tsunami.
