Earthquakes don’t ever really go away. Australia’s Northern Territory felt tremors that geologists say are aftershocks from earthquakes that occurred 70 years ago. Mark Leonard has recorded aftershocks of earthquakes from as long ago as 1938 and 1941. He says, “?I would say the Simpson Desert (tremors) are?aftershocks because in 1938 and then in 1941 there was a series of earthquakes larger in magnitude than five, cumulating with a magnitude 6.5 earthquake in June 1941 and ever since then every year there’s just been a few earthquakes out that way.”

Miners used to carry caged canaries down into the mines. If the canary dropped dead from lack of oxygen, they had an early warning that it was time for them to get out. Now scientists think the dramatic increase in deformed frogs is an early warning that the environment is changing. There has been a huge increase in extra legs, deformed legs and eye damage in over 60 species of frogs. Freakish frog deformities have been found in 46 states and four continents.

In an incredible combination of strange phenomena, a UFO has been seen over Loch Ness, home of the Loch Ness monster. The mysterious light has been seen above nearby Drumnadrochit in Scotland. “It’s the buzz of the village,” says Liz Gresham, whose husband Ian first spotted it. “It looks as though there are two black things, one at the top and one at the bottom and colors in the middle. For the colors to blend like that it must be spinning round.” The UFO was also seen in England around the same time.
