Whitley Strieber's FIRST Reading from His New Communion Book!

Whitley Strieber reads the opening chapter of Solving the Communion Enigma, his first book on the Communion experience in 20 years, to be published by  Tarcher/Penguin in January of 2012.

Then we listen to the part of legendary British broadcaster Howard Hughes' interview with Whitley where Whitley describes the theme of the book, which sounds like it is going to be even more extraordinary than Communion. Whitley learned many secret things in the 25 years between the Communion experience and his sitting down to write Solving the Communion Enigma.

When will this audio be available?

My goodness! I used to work with Howard Hughes when I was a UK local radio presenter and he was a newsreader back in the 80s. Great to hear his voice again! Listening to the show now at Howard's site: http://theunexplained.tv/paranormal-podcasts/edition-66-whitley-strieber :)

barrierbreaking thinking, interesting.

Can't wait to read Solving the Communion Enigma: What is To Come.
When will it be available to pre-order?
I want to reserve my copy and support your great work and writing Whitley.

Interesting reading of the first chapter. Although Whitley has never wedded himself to any particular explanation for the "visitor" experience, from the reading of the first chapter it sounds like "aliens from elsewhere" is being given less prominence in favor of more subjective explanations having to do with evolutionary pressures, etc.

good :) cant wait 2listen. just downloaded it.

Joe, thanks for this. I sent the link along to the publisher. It's really very nice. Your music is great. As far as the "more subjective explanations" comment above is concerned, I have never been a believer in various alien "groups," grays, reptilians, etc. Certainly, it's possible that old-fashioned, straightforward aliens from another planet are here. But if that's true, why do they manifest as they do, and why are the array of things they do here so strange? I think that it is also possible that we are dealing with a manifestation of conscious life that is really very different from us--more different even than that. But 'subjective,' I don't think is the right word to describe it. I would say that we live in a small wrinkle in its reality, not that it is somehow a subjective part of our own.

Linguistic philosophers tell us that our ability to think about things is limited by our language. If we don't have a word or phrase for an experience or phenomenon it's difficult to conceptualize it, let alone express it. Visitor and paranormal experiences don't neatly fit into our categories of being objective or subjective. Perhaps they're omnijective or transjective. My sense is that these experiences have both an objective and subjective component. They reflect something that exists separate from our self but manifest according to ones subjective state of consciousness. When you download a higher dimensional reality into the mind of an advanced primate (human) this is what it looks like: _____________. The analogy from the book Flatland is applicable. Flatland is a story written by a math genius about a two dimensional world (inhabited by 2 dimensional circles) visited by a three dimensional being (a sphere). As the book proves, the 3 D sphere always appears paradoxical to the 2D circle people. The message of the story is that when a lower dimensional being tries to understand a higher dimensional reality it will always come up with paradox. It's only when the 2D creatures are awakened to the fact that they are really 3D creatures that they can comprehend that higher dimension. This book was made into a low budget movie and you can view the trailer at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RQoQd-Bzp0&feature=related and also at: http://flatlandthemovie.com/
Dr. Quantum also has a good short video about Flatland at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWyTxCsIXE4
