Sacred Economics--How to Save Ourselves and Our World

Sacred Economics traces the history of money from ancient gift economies to modern capitalism, revealing how the money system has contributed to alienation, competition, and scarcity, destroyed community, and necessitated endless growth.

Today, these trends have reached their extreme - but in the wake of their collapse, we may find great opportunity to transition to a more connected, ecological, and sustainable way of being.

What an excellent program! Very inspiring. Thank you!

Those that worship money (idolatry) are in abundance.

Hence the world of our fathers is fast vanishing.

Soon...it will be just a memory.

Money in and of itself isn't evil.
It is the worshiping of it, over everything else that causes the destruction.

As money, in its most simplest definition, is our life's energy output.

The book "your money or your life" showed me that by making me equate every cent I spent with how much life energy it took to produce that cent.

Really woke me up to valuing my life and how much energy 'making money' was taking from it.

It really isn't worth...a dime. (the pursuit of money)
