Out There stories relating to "Russia UFO"

This object probably is not a bird or an insect near the camera lens because it is moving in a very straight line and is not surrounded by the faint blur of wings generally seen in bird videos. It appears to be a genuine unknown, and a reminder that they are really all around us.

These lights do not appear to be an aircraft, but as this is a night shot, there is no way to be certain. Still, probably an authentic video and the odds are that this is an unknown.

Initially, this appears to be a plane, but as the video continues, the shape is revealed to be very unusual.

Thousands of witnesses observed these lights over St. Petersburg on April 9. This is a compilation of 4 videos.

A lighted object similar to this appeared a few days ago over St. Petersburg, Russia. This object, taped during the day, has appeared over Lake Ladoga. It is unlikely to be balloons because the internal lighting seems too bright.

There is no reason to assume that this video is hoaxed, but it is not possible to tell what it is. The lights are not a typical aircraft configuration, but it could easily be a balloon or a dirigible. Interesting possibility, but no proof it's an unknown.

An unusual object has fallen in Siberia. It was found in a forest by local villagers and dragged into a town, and has now been confiscated by police. The origin of the object is unknown.

If this object is above the atmosphere, then it's immense, on an order of hundreds of miles across. Even if it's in the upper atmosphere, it's quite large. As to what it might be, your Out There editor won't even hazard a guess.

This OpenMinds article points out that the UFO seen surrounded by a cloud in Russia is quite similar to one seen in Mexico, and shows side by side photos.

This one is quite strange. It's moving too fast to be a celestial object and it certainly isn't a plane. A true unknown.

And here we thought sure it was a dragonfly drone! This looks like a pretty airtight explanation...

This object appears to be somewhat similar to the Dragonfly Drones that appeared over California in the summer of 2007.

This could have been a meteor, but pilots see meteors frequently enough to make one think that they wouldn't have mistaken one for a UFO.

Of course these objects could be small incendiaries of some kind, but the first one is very bright for anything except a flare, which it is not.

The US must possess hours of similar footage. What a shame that they keep it hidden.

This is a strong video, as long as the film is indeed from 1968, which it does appear to be. Graded B.

This could be a balloon or dirigible with strange placement of lights, but given the number of permits needed to fly such a thing in Russia, that seems doubtful. The video is not a CGI effect. Graded B. Thanks to

This was originally explained away as a meteor. But they don't generally return for a second try, so it has to be an unknown.

The strange catlike voice that the air traffic controller heard could well be an encrypted communication from the unknown craft. But who were they talking to on an open frequency, and why was a secret aircraft in controlled airspace? It's all very strange.

No way to evaluate this nighttime video except to say that it looks interesting.
