Out There stories relating to "New Zealand UFO"

95% of all UFO videos posted on YouTube are hoaxes. Of the rest, most are either unidentifiable or mistaken identities of known phenomena. In the past month, we have seen one video that might have been a genuine unknown, and now this. Odds are, it's a hoax, but the voices on the video, which are asking what it is and commenting on it, seem to reflect authentic puzzlement. The children heard in the background are also commenting on what they are seeing. Thus, your Out There editor has decided--but hesitantly--to post this. Another factor in my decision is it has not been created by one of the big hoax sites, thus the click-count is low. (Virtually all of the videos on such sites are fakes.)

I'm not grading it in our present grading system. All I can say about it is that it is interesting enough to post.

A UFO skeptic found this strange object on picture among a group he had taken of the Humboldt Mountains in New Zealand. He did not see it while taking the picture. It does not appear to be an airplane, and a lighter than air craft would be unlikely to be aloft in a mountainous region, due to unpredictable winds. This is a probable unknown.

"I was changing a CD as I was driving and when I looked up I saw what looked like a car without its lights on, stopped in the middle of the road outside Shantytown. I slammed on my brakes and my eyes were still trying to focus, when suddenly the thing just lit up and shot into the sky." The witness adds that other drivers must have seen it, but so far no reports. Was this a UFO or a secret aircraft? Because he also states that it became extremely bright as it rose, your Out There editor votes for something from the unknown.

Yet another example, this one from Plymouth, New Zealand.

Another video from New Zealand, one of the world's many current hotspots. I have not given this to our video experts, but it would not be hard to fake. I am relying on the seeming sincerity of the poster. Mr. S. asked him a question: why did he happen to have his camera running overnight? If he answers, I'll add it to this post.

Of course this could be a magnified star, but this video appears to be an authentic unknown.
