Out There stories relating to "Missouri UFO"

Wednesday, August 3, 2016

This video, sent to us by an Unknowncountry reader, shows a strobing light directly over the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. It is too stationary to be a hovering drone or a passing plane, so it is a genuine unknown. UPDATE 8/4/16: Additional surveillance video posted on Facebook suggests that this is probably a drone with a strobe light on it. We downgrade it to B, possible unknown.

In May, a photograph was taken of a blue light over the arch. This was thought to be a sun dog, and does have that appearance, but in view of the new sighting, perhaps not. Also in May, photos of something unusual were taken over a St. Louis Cardinals game.

If you live in the area and see anything or get any videos or photos, please let us know at Whitley@strieber.com.

This TV news report sums up the situation in Missouri at the moment, as a blue-light UFO makes frequent nightly appearances. Local residents, unaware of how extensive this phenomenon actually is, are confused and perplexed. To their credit the news team has done some homework and presents a brief synopsis of other blue-light UFO reports from around the world.

Such observations probably take place far more often than they are reported.

This brief video of a cluster of lights moving over a Missouri highway is probably an authentic unknown. The lights are not balloons or sky lanterns, and probably not an aircraft unless it has been intentionally equipped with illegal lighting in order to perpetrate what would seem to be a very trivial hoax.

The last few seconds of this video finally offer a good view of the object the witnesses are following, which proves to be an unusual group of lights reminiscent of some of the object described during the Hudson Valley UFO sightings of the early 1980s.

Of course this could be a CGI effect, but there is no way to tell and no evidence of hoax beyond the ease with which it could have been created. The third light that appears is a lens effect from the streetlights.

These are not lanterns. They appear to be classic UFOs, unless this is a CGI hoax. Unfortunately, there is no way to be certain, but the higher probability is that the video is authentic.

It seems as if somebody in the 'show me' state was just shown quite an elaborate operation involving a UFO.
