This video from an infrared camera aboard a police helicopter in the UK shows an object similar to one that has been taped in many situations. In normal light, it is bright silver metallic with a darker area in the center. In daylight video, the object appears to be able to vary the shape of the darker area.

It was recorded over the Bristol Channel in the UK, south of Wales. Your Out There Editor notes that the poster left comments on, and has received the usual moronic responses. People fear the unknown.

The still image shows similar objects that were videotaped in daylight, the one on the left in British Columbia and the one on the right in Mexico.

The British National Police Air Service has recorded a video on an infrared system that shows a UFO that is emitting heat but was invisible to air traffic control radars in the area. The video was recorded aboard a National Police Air Service helicopter in South Wales using an FILR camera, which records both normal and infrared light. The object was not visible in the camera in daytime mode, but was visible in infrared mode. It was traveling into the wind, and the pilot does not believe that it was a balloon or a candle lantern.

The footage was actually taken at approximately 9:30 PM according to the police report. The footage is time stamped 8:30 PM. It was made in 'black hot' mode, which returns a black image of anything emitting heat. The size could not be judged. The object was taped for seven minutes.

Typically, the British Government quickly suppressed the video. It is no longer available.

These waves of unknown objects can be recorded in the infrared almost anywhere. But what are they? They are not moving like birds, because the are generally all in parallel motion, like these. They cannot be planes. We would be most interested if you are recording such footage. Please let us know at whitley@strieber.com.

Infrared video readily records birds, insects and even the smallest meteors. However, this video shows objects at altitude moving in a very steady formation. We have been unable to find any species of high-flying bird that might fly like this, and these object do not have the footprint of planes, which generally offer a much brighter return. Still, it's impossible to be certain that they are not something conventional. The smaller objects flashing past are probably meteors or birds, but the higher formation remains an unknown.
