These new pictures of the Baltic Object make it seem even more unusual. The object appears to be made of stone, and yet there is a field leading up to it suggesting that it slid or was dragged to its current position. It remains a compelling archaeological mystery. The area of the Baltic it is in was dry land during the last ice age, so it could be that it dates from before glacial melt inundated the region.
Umm, am I missing something? It looks like a pile of stones. Is that not what is here?
