California UFO flap intensifies amid Crop Circle Controversy

Since November, UFO sightings have been extensive in California. A crop formation appeared in Salinas on December 28.

In November, Whitley Strieber saw a UFO in the early morning in southern California, and friends of his observed orange orbs emerging out of Santa Monica Bay that same night.

Could this latest upsurge in sightings be related to the Salinas crop formation, and if so, what is the significance of the number 192, which appears in  braille inside the formation? Or is the formation a hoax? UPDATE: The Nividia Corporation is claiming that it created the crop formation to promote a new microchip, but that doesn't change the fact that the number of UFO sightings in California and adjacent states has risen dramatically over the past month.

The Nvidia hoax has, IMO, dealt a serious blow to crop circle "believers". Here were supposed crop circle experts declaring the formation "genuine", along with photos of the "magic" unbroken smooth bends of the barley grasses close to ground level, plus the usual raft of decoding and speculating theories... all the usual hoopla. But this turned out clearly to be a hoax, there can be no doubt; none! I mean, the pattern looks just like the computer chip Nvidia is promoting, with the exact message they wanted to get out there (and they succeeded.) And yet, incredibly, even Linda Moulton Howe is apparently not fully accepting the obvious truth, saying on Earthfiles.com, "Nvidia PR “Confession” Hollow without Close-up Details of How and When Chualar Pattern Made and Why Destroyed." Really Linda? REALLY?? That is quite frankly absurd. I'm impressed that you won an Emmy, but I'm sure it wasn't with that level of journalistic integrity.

I have long believed crop circles were a true anomaly for the most part, but after witnessing this whole thing unfold, I'm now very much a skeptic. It would be unreasonable NOT to be. The circus around this whole "phenomenon" is starting to look, to me anyway, quite ridiculous. I suppose we can dislike Nvidia for giving evidence that there's no Santa Claus, but it's really better to know the truth.

In that the NVIDIA chip bears unmistakable resemblance to the crop formation certainly calls it's authenticity in question, but their revelation also presents other problems. Several aspects are troubling. The claim that they had no marketing budget seems spurious as NVIDIA has successfully survived the tech revolution from the early days of hardware development. If this was a marketing ploy, then why destroy it so quickly? No mass marketing campaign lasts only a couple of days. Their reticence to divulge methodology of production defies reason as it would certainly aid in future evaluation of crop formations

My 1st thought after seeing this crop formation was "it looks just like a micro chip". Strange nobody seemed to notice this including the "experts". Looking too hard at the details and missing the big picture seems to me.

Also strange that a graphics chip maker would use crop circles as a PR stunt. I would think that they have alienated (no pun intended) a large portion of their fan base being computer gamers who probably believe in the visitors and crop circles myself being one of them.

I would like to know exactly how they did it though.
