On June 22 in MacArthur Park in downtown Los Angeles, Robert Bingham held one of his periodic UFO summoning events. This video has been created by Jim Martin, who was present at the event. It contains some spectacular UFO footage, but only one shot, taken over a local hotel, shows an apparent orb in the context of the surroundings. The more spectacular shots never show context, but only the sky itself, but the creator of the video assures us that the images were shot during the summoning event.

Robert Bingham has been documented as succesfully calling UFOs or orbs on other occasions as well.

If you attended this event, we would like to hear from you at whitley@strieber.com.

Hector Ramirez is one of those people who has a knack for noticing strange things in the sky, and this is the second video we have seen from him taken in Cocoyoc, in Metepec State in Mexico. It's hardly a conventional UFO, but if it's a cluster of balloons, they are acting in a very strange way. Here is his earlier video, taken last May.

This is a pretty convincing story. Something is definitely moving in this video. If the police are telling the truth, there is no way that anybody could have entered the area under surveillance without triggering an alarm, so your Out There editor is taking this one at face value: something unknown is walking through the camera's field of view.
This story of a Druze boy who, at the age of three, not only remembered who murdered him in a past life but also found his own past body that the murderer had hidden is really something. It comes from a book called Children Who Have Lived Before by Trutz Hardo.

Whitley has done some great interviews about past lives on Dreamland, and has told his own remarkable story in Whitley's Room in the subscriber area of this website.

Of course this unusual Mars rock is probably just a trick of light and random erosion, but it is sufficiently regular to allow one to imagine that we might not understand Mars nearly as well as we think we do. We're not making any claims about the object beyond saying that it is as regular as if it had been carved, seems out of place in its surroundings and appears to be part of something that is buried. If a photograph like this was taken in a desert on Earth, the only question would be, 'who carved it?'

This image was captured by a skywatcher over Newburgh, NY, on September 15. It's an unusual image, and has elements that suggest that it's a CGI effect. And yet the spoken narrative that accompanies it seems entirely sincere. We're including it in Out There for that reason, and also because Newburgh, NY is about midway between the area where Whitley Strieber had his famous experiences and where the Hudson Valley UFO mystery unfolded. The whole region remains to this day an area of extensive UFO activity.

Why do they do it? Stupid, lying morons. For the skinny on this asinine prank, click here. There are tens of thousands of genuinely unexplained UFO images out there, so why does the troll patrol even bother? But they do, they do...

It was done as a vicious publicity stunt for a Sigh-Fie and Fantasy weekend in Portsmouth. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Out There has been pretty quiet for a while! The reason is that we've been flooded with UFO hoaxes using drones, some of them very convincing, all of them fake. It's similar to the Sky Lantern fad, except that the fakes can be harder to spot. In addition, Mars is just coming off perigee, meaning that it is about as far as it gets from Earth. The farther the distance between the two planets, the fewer UFO events on Earth. As it gets closer, the number of UFO sightings usually rises, so they should be peaking toward the end of 2015 when it will be at apogee, or its closest point.

The witness to this object in the UK reports that it was moving very fast, and thus not what it looks like, a lenticular cloud. It would take only a moment to hoax this using simple software, so we just have to take him at his word. It is getting increasingly difficult to evaluate these cases, so if YOU have a UFO image, do send it to whitley@strieber.com and we'll be glad to take a look. Far better than trolling the internet!
