A Pennsylvania woman had recorded an unknown phenomenon in the sky on August 26. She, her husband and a neighbor observed a complex object that was stationary in the sky for some time. Local police were called, and they also observed the object as it moved away. The story was picked up on Good Morning America. As a multiple witness event that includes police witnesses, this sighting has a high level of credibility.
This witness report isn't supported with any imagery, but it is typical of a type of UFO that is seen so often that there is no clear reason to disbelieve it. The witness was fishing at night when the half-mile long object slowly moved overhead. “It wasn’t lit up bright. It had a slight glow to it .Nothing fancy.”

“I have seen a lot of things in the night sky and have never seen anything like this. It reminded me of some of the giant ships on the ‘Star Wars’ movie.”

This short clip animates the Pennsylvania gnome, revealing that it was moving forward, then as soon as its picture was snapped, at once turned around and moved out of frame in a matter of seconds. The sequence is that shot one was the closest. Shots two and three were each a second apart, and in each, it's farther away. If you're an Unknowncountry subscriber, don't miss the subscriber report sourced here. It's absolutely fascinating!

A Canadian news agency covering a forest fire inadvertently captured this UFO image. Its angle of attack suggests it could be a meteor, but it if is one, it has a very unusual appearance. Possible unknown.

Pilots of an Air Canada flight out of Halifax reported seeing a drone 900 feet from their plane, at an altitude of 18,000 feet. The drone was tubular and had a vertical propeller. No commercially available drone has a radio range sufficient to enable it to fly to 18,000 feet, so either this was something constructed by a specialist, a military drone, or an unknown object. Whatever it was, it was doing something extremely dangerous and illegal.

This could be a simple graphic, or even a common sundog, but given the witness description it also could be a real UFO. It was seen to spin, to maneuver, then to suddenly disappear. We're rating this one a possible UFO, but without video footage showing the motions that the witness describes, it's impossible to say more than that this is a very provocative story.

Interesting video. Probably too small to be a balloon with internal lighting, not a plane or bird because of the erratic pattern of movement, not a computer graphic--so, this is a likely unknown object, and what's even more interesting is that it appears to have been 'called' by CSETI Montreal. The ability to call these lights is one of the most perplexing aspects of the UFO phenomenon.

Out There is often asked why we don't point out more hoaxes. This video may or may not be a hoax, but it is almost certainly a collection of balloons floating in the blue skies of Italy and causing a good deal of excitement.

The great majority of UFO photos taken during the day are actually birds snapped at the moment their wings are closed. In this case, though, the object appears to be metallic and circular or oval. This is a probable unknown.

This may be a dirigible (powered balloon) or a CGI effect, but it may also be another sort of object altogether, under an unknown form of power. If it's a computer graphic, it's a good one. (Can you spot a telltale that it may be?) As soon as your Out There editor saw this, I thought to myself: if the classified "TR" stealth aircraft in Whitley Strieber's book the Grays is real, this is what it would look like.
