What we're REALLY fighting about! - Some researchers think that al-Qaeda IS NOT fighting a war of religion, it's fighting a WATER WAR.

On Alternet.org, Steven Solomon writes: "The unfolding global water crisis increasingly influences the outcome of America's two wars, homeland defense against international terrorism, and other key US national-security interests. At first blush, water and national security may not seem to be interlinked." But he insists that they are.

He notes that 25 years ago, former UN Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali predicted that the "next war in the Middle East will be fought over water."
