A recent Israeli army raid on Palestinian banks found payrolls for terrorists who were being trained to commit suicide attacks in the U.S. and Europe. In the raids, Israel seized between 6.5 and 9 million dollars in cash from four bank branches. Most of it had been deposited by Iran, Syria and Lebanese Hezbollah guerrillas especially to fund Palestinian terrorists.

Israeli intelligence is briefing the U.S., Russia and middle eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia on the newest methods being used by suicide bombers, including carry-on bags and briefcases carrying pipe bombs that are activated by cell phones. This type of attack is done by a team of bombers: the one actually carrying the bomb (who dies when it?s blown up) and another who dials the activating number on the cell phone. This avoids the possibility that the bomber will back out at the last minute.

New, flatter bombs are being developed that can be concealed in spring and summer clothing. Police have been tipped off in the past when they spotted potential bombers wearing heavy, concealing clothing in warm weather.
