Foiling a News Blackout

There has been so little news in the U.S. about the new mystery disease SARS, that it's almost a news blackout. Perhaps the news is being downplayed in order to prevent panic, or maybe news organizations are simply preoccupied with the war in Iraq. We decided to go directly to the source?YOU, our readers?in order to find out how SARS is really spreading in the U.S., so please vote.

Last week, we asked you about your political beliefs and found our readers are surprisingly evenly divided: 25% are Conservative, 23% are Moderate and 22% are Liberal. The rest of you are None of the Above, Far Left or Far Right. This is the way it should be, since we avoid ideology at unknowncountry.com. We find it stands in the way of getting facts and interesting information?and that's what we're all about.
